Yeah, I was there about mid-Saturday morning. fishing the top lake, lost a dink, then went down to the lower lake and nothing. I even threw a snake, glad to know I was throwing the proper lure at least.

yeah, I agree with Fat-G. Never used a Caenan, but the Citica will last you (if you take care of it) for a long time! Good luck and let use know what you went with.

I got one at 5# on topwater Super Spook. That was pretty cool, the whole lure just dissappeared on the bite. I got another one a couple of weeks ago that I felt was a little bigger, probably 5.5#. But, after looking at all these huge bass everyone else is catching I need to go fishing with you guys!!

So many aspects, from figuring out the water, to fishing and talking with good friends/meeting new poeple. My favorite though, getting that strike and setting the hook and not knowing what is at the other end of the line and when it is a MOMMA, the reaction we have, like finding a treasure. Great topic!

I had my best fishing trip, number wise in the rain. If the fish turn on you can throw anything, but more important to take the right rain gear so you are not meserable out there. Good luck!

Hey everybody, I have a VERY old G'z one phone, I think it is an S-type. I have more then 600 hours of talktime on it, but it does not have a camera. (I use to work for a defense contractor so, no camera phones.) I am looking to upgrade and came across the Casio G'zOne Commando. It is a G'z phone, but combination of smartphone and rugged characteristics. Does anyone have one of these? If so, what do you think of it? I have an older one 2009. The reel seems to be great for flipping, but if I was to use it all day say in a tournament, it will backlash.

Ok, I have a question for people who have a Revo Premier and Curado in their arsenal. My question is: Do you guys/girls notice there is a drastic difference between the casting controls between the two reels? Specifically, how well or not well each reel prevents backlashes. With my Curado I set it and forget it, my premier I constantly have to monitor it to prevent backlash. I know a lot of people like the Premiers, Curados, etc. but I am wondering what is going on with my Premier. I never get backlashes with my Shimano, but if I slip with the Premier backlash. Thanks

Yeah, I agree if you join Bassjons, you will learn Lk Prince, Cohoon, Burnt Mills. There are some great fisheries down there! I am hitting Cohoon tomorrow morning with some buddies as a matter of fact.

Ok, I am a friend of Sam's and Hookingem's. I use to live down there in NN, up by Ft. Eustis. First, Lake Maury is great but, the people that run that place ruin it with so many rules. Bad news, any Newport News fishing is the same way. Look up www.bassjons.com I website for bass fishing in the Hampton Roads area. Second, there is a pond near Bass Pro Shop specifically right behind Saddle Ridge. If you see a tall pale looking guy with too much hair gel in his hair that will be my buddy Sean. Plastics, red worms there, that is what Sean swears by. Cast on the other side of the sand area and work back. Walk along the boardwalk behind Saddle Ridge looking into the water and you will find what I am talking about. If you head up to Newport News park, remember you have to buy a day shoreline fishing permit. Not worth fishing until late summer/fall, same with Hardwood Mill. Now Hardwood mill is accuatly a really good place to fish, but you need to rent a jon boat and should have a trolling motor. I will warn you Hardwood Mill and Newport News Res. are OVERRUN with Hydrilla in the spring/late summer, well until they put the chemical in the water to kill it. In NN fisheries trying shad like or perch is a GREAT pattern there. There are a lot of pike in those waters so, get some heavier line. Anymore questions, PM me. I can tell you about a couple more places. PS, If you go to BPS ask for Justin in the fishing department, he is the most knowledge one there. See I saved you from driving to Walmart and dealing with the traffic at the Jefferson 64 exchange.

But, more importantly, I think it sends a message the US will bloody your noise if you are our enemy. It seems like the military these days has to fight the real war and then the PC war on CNN. That is not fair to our servicemen to second guess their judgement when they are getting shot at.

Get a Powell rod! I have tried out Fat-G's Dobyns nice rod, but more $$ I would have bought a Crucial, but Hookingem bought it out from under my noise.
