Great catch!

First Powell (723C Endurance)
Yes, I 100% agree with the "bang for buck theory," with the Powell rods. The 723 is a great Senko rod as well!

First Powell (723C Endurance)
Yeah, I have the same 723C Powell and love it, I think it is a pretty good deal for the money. I picked up the 6103 Endurance as well, great rod! Glad you like the Powell!

Lake Chesdin
I had a tournament there about 2 weeks ago. The winning lures was wacky rigged junebug worms fished in grass and aroud lily pads. In the earlier morning throw the worm or buzzbait towards the back of the grass and work out. As the sun gets higher concentrate on pockets in the grass, and towards the outside of the grass with the worm. The fellow that won our tournament caught his out of creek Winnepanock (sp?). But, there was a tournament that blasted off from there the week before, meaning he caught "recycled," bass. So, if you have some time on the internet search to see if any clubs fished Chesdin recently and were they blasted off. Best of luck! Wdy

Frozen Suv Door Lock
My Exploder doesn't have the child door lock feature and I do not have a key slot on the outside of this door to try that. The window motor works, but nothing else on that door. Thanks for the suggestions so far,

Frozen Suv Door Lock
Thanks for the suggestions! I probably should have searched that before I posted in here, but I was on the forum so........The tab I meant to be the part that sticks up through the door paneling. If you push lock on the power lock button it goes down, I feel like an idiot for that name escaping me.

Powell Endurance 775
Bama, I dont have that Powell, but I do have the Endurance 723, and you know and I know the Powell's are pretty sweet. I can suggest you call Powell and ask for Keith Bryan. I talked to him a couple of times before I ordered my Powell. He's a straight shooter and will help you make the selection for your application. Probably not a too helpful response, but I like to help out fellow Powell rod users. Hope it works out for ya' Bama. Wdy

Frozen Suv Door Lock
Hey everyone, I was looking for some advice. I got a 95 Ford Exploder and the rear passenger door's lock is stuck. I can't pull the tab up (well, I probably could just do now know how much damage it will cause) to get the door open. I wanted to see if anyone has run into this problem before and what they did to "unstick," the lock so I can open the door and remove the paneling to replace it. Thanks for the help, Wdy!

G'zone Commando Phone
Hey everyone, breif update on my Commando phone. The ear piece on the phone died on me today, less then a month owning it. The phone is marketed as "water resistant," and yes the phone got wet, but I can not hear someone talking to me over the phone. Took it to Verizon and they could not do anything. So, giving everyone a heads up on this phone now with not even one-months talk time on it.

Icast 2011
I agree with AJ (Hookingem), Diawa needs to be more competitive in that $150-$200 range. They have been around for a long time so, I know they make quality reels. But, those reels are usually a bit heavier and rated drag force is less then what is already in that price range. Cant wait for the new Shimano reels to come out, I was thinking about buying a 200E7 on closeout, but more curious about what is around the bend.

I Am Now Retired!!!!!!

51E Vs 201E
Yeah, a 7-to-1 ratio would make a really nasty 50E!

51E Vs 201E
Yeah, I have heard rumors about a new Curado hitting at Icast. Oh-well, guess I am going to have to hit BPS or order on tacklewharehouse some Curados soon.

51E Vs 201E
DMAC14, I'll let you know how it goes. There is a thread in the Rods and reels forum here that put me on to it. I think I searched Bearing upgrade (in the Rods, reels, line here) and found it that way. There was a youtube video in the thread of someone switching the bearing on a Curado. Try finding that, it should be a fairly recent thread, meaning about the first page. I posted to it a day or so ago. PM me if you can not find it, I'll find it and tell you where to look. Interesting reading the responses! I shot myself in the foot, because I should have order 2 bearings instead of one. Therefore, need to order another one tomorrow, live and learn!

51E Vs 201E
PSS, I meant to say No line capacity problem with the 50E.

51E Vs 201E
DMAC14, Hey, I have both a 50E and 200E5. If you are going weightless plastics go with the 50, or 51 in your case. I have my 50E sitting on a Powell Endurance 7'-2" MH w/ xtra fast tip. It is a great Senko combo!! I got 12# coploy on her now. I just ordered new bearings for her, just curious to see how much it upgrades the reel, the stock bearings are fine. The 50E/51E can throw lighter lures a little bit better then the 200s. Hope this helps, Wdy PS, line problem with line capacity on the 50E.

Bearings swap...
Thanks for this discussion guys! I was about to post to the forum, but searched for bearing upgrade fist. Thanks for the information, really appericate it.

I Was Wrong About Shimano Reels (Maybe)
yeah, Sam makes a good point, regardless of make of reel. I usually get my reels serviced right away just to ensure they have the proper amount of lube. Raider, are you looking at a 50E? I love mine!!!

New Curado?
Well, I guess I am holding off getting that 200e7 then!

Virginia Beach Fishing
Tobias, Welcome to the forum! I would recommend you check the Locale Fishing Forum and I think there is a thread going in there for Southeast Section pertaining to the same question of people looking for fishing in VA Beach area. If you can not find it, just search for Virginia Beach in that threads search blank and it should pop up. As far as Lake James, do not know. I use to live in Newport News and can tell you all about that area. But, I would start by fishing with 5" Senkos, probably a dark purple, junebug color and fish slow. Hope this helps. Wdy
