  1. I buy multiples of the same kinds and keep some trimmed and some long. If I'm getting short strikes with either I'll change to the other or change color as well.
  2. I need to figure something out as well on Okee. It's been kicking my arse lately! I usually start around harney.
  3. I use Gamakatsu ewg superline exclusively for braid and heavy cover applications and never had one bend. However, if I recall correctly they did have a few bad batches some time ago.
  4. Yes I agree with you 100% on these newer cars that they keep trying out. I was kind of referring to the tried-and-true 5.3 in the full-size trucks and their diesel motors as well. That is what I have used since I got my driver's license and never had a single issue out of them. I bought my wife a turbo Cruze and it has been very problematic as well.
  5. I've tried all kinds not just bait chucking. Key words in your statement were "I love" meaning you. My point exactly. What we like doesn't make it what others do.
  6. All depends what you want it for. If I had to pick only one all around rod it would definitely be the 734c. I use my 704 mainly for treble hooks like rat L traps and smaller top waters.
  7. It's just personal preference is all. Not everyone is going to like everything. I have zero interest in salt water fishing for example. I've tried it and it just doesn't do it for me.
  8. Dobyns rods are overrated by at least one power. My 4 power, heavy rated Dobyns are identical to a traditional MH. The length also changes the power slightly. My Champion XP 734 feels significantly stronger then my 704 even though it's only a 3"difference.
  9. It's no GM, but nothing beats the feeling of getting that new ride in the driveway! Congrats
  10. So glad I don't ever have to put "can I" in front of anything! ?
  11. I do, from eBay. I just can't think of the seller right now. Very good prices on 50 packs.
  12. If there's no local laws prohibiting it I don't see any reason you couldn't do that. I have a buddy who transported his Triton that way across state lines. He paid a company to do it though.
  13. Nope. This mainly happens at my local raceway. Which has an enormous parking area with plenty of space away from the pumps. But people are too lazy to make the walk so they take up the pumps closest to the entrance of the store.
  14. People who park their boat and truck at the fuel pumps taking two spaces up then walk inside to get whatever and NEVER actually get fuel! ? All while I'm waiting to actually fuel up.
  15. It was me under the docks with a pair of scissors messing with you!
  16. I just went and grabbed one from Home Depot along with a surge protector and called it good.
  17. KVD triple grips for me
  18. I never worry about making a splash or not. Only focus on accuracy and the fall.
  19. Neither, it really was that big!
  20. Sometimes you just have to pack it up and make a drive. I use to live in a city similar to what you're describing. I ended up driving over an hour to fish better spots. Finally I got a chance to move to the area I was driving to.
  21. This is what I did to mine when it had a lot of screen clutter/interference. Worked on mine.
  22. Tipping 9lbs easily I say. Nice!
  23. Y'all are way of bros! That's at least 25lbs! I mean, it was like a small child ya know. ?
