  1. Anyone who says they are not worth the money or are not useful has never had them. I have dual poles and will NEVER own another boat without them. Especially here in FL with almost all shallow fishing.
  2. Not sure in your area but here in Florida 5k gets you a nice boat if you're patient. Got my 96 Procraft dual with 150 EFI mint condition for $5500. That ranger looks really well kept. After a thorough inspection and if everything checks out I would start out at around $4300 and work from there. Good luck
  3. I've done just about all of those myself. Most recently I've forgot the plug and to remove my MotorMate outboard locker before launching.
  4. Not allowed to say mine on here! But my second favorite is Daiwa.
  5. Worry less about biochemistry and Physiology and go fishing!
  6. Who ever taught that guy in the pic obviously taught him wrong cuz he went and bought a Dodge! ?
  7. Considering I sometimes spend that just stopping at the store before work in the morning, I would say it's beyond worth it!
  8. ? There is no such thing as a "magic number"! So many more things factor into the equation then just water temp.
  9. Out of those I would pick the Daiwa. I wasn't impressed at all with the K. It felt heavy and uncomfortable to me.
  10. Resolve "high traffic" cleaner works for me along with shout or oxi clean.
  11. I had a horrible experience with my last XR6 200hp! Ended up blowing a hole in the block. Almost impossible to start anytime. I would honestly hold out for an EFI.
  12. Mainly just leaders, when throwing big treble swimbaits and deep diving cranks. Either Abrazx fluoro or CXX. It's more to "soften" the harshness of the braid on the treble hooks than for visibility reasons.
  13. If they have their polarized glasses on they can definitely see the line! ? I use straight braid 90% of the time and have never had a problem catching em.
  14. Haven't used one since I was 15 myself. I don't see them much in stores either.
  15. Retractable boat buckles is what I use. Never a problem even in extremely rough water. Love them!
  16. Don't forget the plug!
  17. It's all personal preference like a lot of life is. Why do some of us spend thousands on bass boats and modifying the trucks we tow them with? Or on a race car just to beat the next guy at the track that weekend. Or on insanely priced rods and reels. Because we can, we like to and it brings us satisfaction in some way. I have some of those very expensive hand made lures myself. Why, because I think they're beautiful works of art. And I know that when I decide I don't need them anymore and sale them, I will get my money back and then some. Do I use them, not really. I throw the "cheaper", under $100 ones with great success. I believe big baits (not expensive baits) target big fish more so then most baits. The fishing game is no different then anything else in life. We use what we like and can afford. Nothing wrong with either side of the fence.
  18. I've been trying to tell y'all that!
  19. One of my babies got new shoes.... and bumper!
  20. Definitely the 806 if you're going to try and throw trebles and jig style baits with one setup. I have 50lb braid on my Fury 806 for jig style hooks. For trebles, I'll use a copolymer leader. I use my 795 mainly for top water rats and big spooks.
  21. There's this stuff called Awesome. I get it at the dollar general store. Removes pretty much everything and has never damaged decals or plastics for me.
  22. Go as often as humanly possible!
