  1. Yeah guess I'll have to wait for the weekend to check it out again cuz I'm a bit confused. Mine did grind when putting it in gear before I took it apart. Now it's too South like you can't even feel the gear catching. Now I'll miss fishing this weekend working on this again!
  2. I think it's a ground cable. Should bolt somewhere on the lower unit.
  3. That's what everyone has told me so far. Just don't understand why prop does spin if i gas it up? Wouldn't it not spin at all if misaligned? And i have to wait too Saturday afternoon to get back to this too. It's killing me!
  4. I read that hypothermia can occur in as little as 70° water. I didn't know it was that easy!
  5. Doubt it, it was working perfectly before tune up.
  6. I completely agree that the tournament should've been postponed that week! The testimony that Nik was waving for help was given by Bill, the driver. Nik's brother gave an interview saying he is very confident his brother is alive due to their training and background. I hope this turns out to be so.
  7. Yeah I don't keep them or the fur. I give them to a buddy of mine who does whatever with them. I just get rid of them when they become a nuisance. Around here they'll take pets in a heartbeat.
  8. Thanks for those pics! That will help for sure.
  9. I didn't think there was an "incorrect" way to put it back though? It all lined up when going back in. And like i said, it will soon when i gas it. Guess I'm going to have to go back in! ?
  10. But if the linkage wasn't right would it still spin when i gas it?
  11. Hey guys, I have a 96 Mariner Magnum EFI 2.5L, serial # is OG337303. I did a tune up on it this weekend. New fuel filter, inline oil filter, plugs and impeller rebuild kit. I fired it up in the driveway with the muffs to make sure everything was good. I noticed whenever I put it in gear, either fwrd or reverse the prop won't spin. The boat does have a hot foot. I have to rev it considerably to get the prop to spin. This is the first time I start it in the driveway but I know before when on the water just putting it in gear it would cruise about 3.5mph. So that means something's not right.... right? Any suggestions before i have to tear it back down? Not sure what I'm missing here.
  12. Even saw Scott Martin and Brandon out there helping. I still can't believe this myself! Slowly losing hope. ?
  13. Nice! I hit em with an AR. Does this trick.
  14. Good luck out there! I love that place but it's so far from me. I only have a half a day Sunday so staying local (wife's bday).
  15. All this talk is getting me hyped up! Looking like a good weekend.
  16. @Catt wish I had your survival skills buddy!
  17. Another vote for the tatula. If you go with the fury step up in power. They fish about one power down from their rating. I have the 704c and it's pretty soft. I throw Square bills and topwater treble baits on it.
  18. Left hand.... She's a smart girl! I would take 2 MH combos all day long.
  19. You got me bruh! Was my idea.,?
  20. The more I think about it the more I want to do the classes. I really like those PFDs with the strobe light and GPS module as well. I use a BPS one right now. Great info on here so far.
  21. What you did there.... i caught it ?
  22. In the central area where I fish by March most fish are spawned out already. Best chances at a trophy here are in Jan and Feb.
