  1. I knew someone would bring that up, lol! I couldn't resist the hype. Plus I think it will look slick on that green Powell blank. If I don't like it, look for it in the flea market section ?
  2. Just bought myself a gift card. Then ordered a couple Powell Max 3d rods, a Curado K, some XD cranks and line.
  3. 30lb suffix 832 for traps and I use a leader in different sizes for cranks.
  4. Man this thing is acting up! Can't post want i want cuz it keeps kicking me out. Haaa
  5. @A-Jay agree with always looking for yourself. I've been done wrong by realtors before. And congrats OP!
  6. Tatula 200 HD, Concept or Lew's Super duty
  7. I use to be that guy that had to have every color available. Now I limit cranks to pretty much some kind of shad pattern for clear water and something with chartreuse for stained water. I also get both colors in silent and rattling versions.
  8. They are very nice sticks, especially for the price. I had an older generation but just couldn't get use to the oversized hump on the grip.
  9. Pros stats or even how long you've been fishing has zero effect on the chances of catching a DD. Targeting them specifically, learning their behavior and wether or not they even exist where you're fishing does. I know people who have been fishing there whole life's and haven't caught one yet. And I have a buddy(member on here) who has been all saltwater his whole life. Then on his first bass trip I take him out on the big O and he smashes a 10.9lb on the scale. I agree that many do exaggerate but in the right state DD bass are not all fairy tales.
  10. Man I have to make it that way one yr for sure!
  11. Not always the best option but if they're actively chasing bait fish it will work no matter the season, here in FL at least. Caught some on it on ledges this yr in 20+ ft. I prefer cranking, swimbaits and c-rigs in the summer out deep though.
  12. Dare ya to OBO me bruh....?
  13. I need two of those!
  14. It's a swimbait so it requires a swimbait setup. You can probably get away with a punch rod or flipping stick though.
  15. Is that the D&M jig Catt? I use all Medlock double guard jigs now for cover. Love how they come through the stuff.
  16. I use the Revo 3 winch now. Got it on eBay a few weeks ago for $110 shipped.
  17. I try to buy as much as I can in bulk as well. Have been for yrs. Maybe that's why I have closets full of stuff I don't use ?.
  18. I don't use jigs over 1oz at all. The weed guards can hinder penetration in heavier cover. If the cover is that thick, then I'm going to use a T-rig or punch rig. A punch rig if they're favoring the jig profile but a jig won't penetrate easily. Honestly though, i always have all three rigged up and ready anyways.
  19. I think this is especially true right now here in FL during the spawn. It's been my experience that these bedding fish will half way grab the bait and spit it out of the bed so fast it's unreal. If you know what you're doing you will feel the strike but it's usually too late and you will get a tungsten weight flying at you at high speeds! You have to keep agitating them until they inhale it.
  20. Google Earth and maps is your friend. I use them all the time in areas I'm not familiar with. Good time to go too as some bass will already be spawning on the banks.
  21. I switch all my split rings to Owner hyper wire and hooks to triple grips. I am not worried about those few fish that may "slap" at the bait. I'm more worried about keeping those big girls that actually inhaled it pinned on. I have recently started to use snaps in place of the ring on the bill. I really like them so far. Hopefully I'm not on here one day crying about how I lost a monster because my snap gave way. Only time will tell I guess.
  22. Bass boat but love jumping on the ATV and fishing the ponds out in the middle of nowhere.
