What rod would you recommend for jigs???
Depends on jig size and cover. My bread and butter is a 1/2oz jig in cover so i like a 7' 3" heavy/fast rod.
- Most Sensitive rod for 150-200$

New Boat Company announment Friday
Craigslist is full of "please take my payment for the rest of your life" adds on boats people thought they wanted and could afford. Ridiculous imo, I'll stick to used myself.

Show Off Your Guns.
- Must have fluro line sizes
#15 Abrazx leader for deep cranking and #17-20 Abrazx for deep Carolina rigging.- Line lubricant
KVD L&L- Horsing/Skiing fish to the boat
Get em in, get em out, on to the next one!- Pre-Spawn in South Florida?
I'm in Lake Placid Central FL and the fishing here is just starting to pick up. Got 35 last weekend in about 6 hrs. Found a couple huge fish in about a foot and a half of water. Not sure if they were bedding yet or not.- What pound test for flipping
I have two setups with 50lb and two with 65lb. Never needed anything more then 65lb but would never go under 50lb either.- Strike King 3xd
I usually upsize in the cold weather and target bigger bites. The smallest i use is the 6xd. Definitely swap the hooks and the nose ring. I use kvd triple grips and owner hyper wire rings.- Bubble gum senkos
Same for me....- Dobyns Fury or Powell Max 3D
Between just those two the max 3d hands down.- Would crawdad bait be appropriate?
I'd be willing to bet that there is craws in there somewhere. And if not then i bet craw lures still work. Good luck- “Best” all- purpose line? (P-line cxx?)
Braid . . . . Leader if you need stretch.- To coffee or not to coffee
This^^^- Line for Alabama rig/Swimbaits
50# 832 and fluoro/mono leader for swimbaits and straight 50# for A-rigs.- Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
You're just not in the right area brotha.... They take cards now a days! ? @Bluebasser86 That's a sick looking Phoney man.- Jigs for punching and flipping
I only use one, Medlock double weed guard jig. Up to 1oz, if I need anything heavier then that, I'll use a punch rig.- Latest Catch Pics Thread
Lost one today that was easily over 10lb. But we still had a blast catching them on lake Istokpoga.- Reel Decisions
I switched 90% of my reels to concepts and am absolutely in love with them. Silky smooth, monster drag and pretty sexy looking too.- Time to grow up and fish a jig
Don't get what's so hard about this? Anywhere you would throw a T-rig you can throw a jig. From heavy cover to deep structure. Nothing to it man. Tie on a 1/2oz and get to work.- Treble Hook and Split Rings Sizes
Bullshad comes with #2 hooks which are way too small. I swap mine to KVD triple grips in 1/0. Split rings are already premium on this bait. The BBZ rat comes with 1/0 2x Gamakatsu hooks which I leave alone because they're really good. Spro HD split rings on that one. The rest I am not sure of.- Baits used for your top 5.
1.5oz punch rig, Alabama craw - 11lb flat Lake Istokpoga 3/4oz sweet Beaver, Junebug - 10lb 8oz Lake Istokpoga 1/4oz Zoom Mag II, Junebug - 10lb 3oz Lake Arbuckle 3/4oz Carolina rig, Zoom ol monster - 9lb 15oz(so close) Lake June in winter 7" Bullshad, gizzard shad - 8lb 7oz Lake June in winter - Must have fluro line sizes
