  1. Just teasing ya man. It would be cool to see one that size though. The biggest I've caught was about 4 pounds I think.
  2. I have been told by many FWC officers that it is indeed illegal to return a snakehead back into the water alive once captured here in FL. Whether or not it's an actual law I do not know for sure. As for the bowfin, I always release them unharmed. They are really fun to catch and put up a great fight. @scaleface pics or it never happened ?
  3. Wow! I had no idea it was that serious. Now that I think about it, i think I've seen a few signs around lakes I fish prohibiting the release of grass carp if caught. I'm going to pay close attention next time out.
  4. Can anyone explain why carp make for these negative conditions? I fish some old phosphate pits with some monster size carp and bass as well. Does it vary from one body of water to another?
  5. Lucky dawg! We got a ton of rain and crazy wind here! Hoping for better this weekend.
  6. Bunch of 10s and a couple 11s for me all out of Florida. Came close in GA with a 9 1/2.
  7. @A-Jay That was a cheap plug for that fat girl pic, haha. Nice!
  8. Flipping my reel is always engaged. Pitching I freespool.
  9. I never use a trailer hook on mine and I set the hook just like a jig or worm.
  10. I'm NEVER on the water without some kind of worm tired on. Either senko or curly tail.
  11. OG Tatula rod and kastking reel right at budget and awesome setup. That's what my 8 yr old uses.
  12. You definitely can use braid for cranking. But I would never crank on that fast of a rod, especially with braid. I use an irod Genesis II Fred's Crank Launcher and a Revo3 winch spooled with 30lb suffix 832 for all medium and deep divers. I always use a mono or fluoro leader though. I don't through many shallow cranks besides square bills. Those i use a Dobyns 804c with 17lb CXX.
  13. The weather kept us in this weekend but I did manage to get some stuff done on the boat. To avoid from losing my marbles inside. One of which was my Bluewater LED bow light kit.
  14. That's crazy man! I had someone attempt this with mine. The next morning I modified my garage door to fit it in there and lock it up. Glad you got it back.
  15. I use rod glove spinning specific ones for my son and had the same issue. I had the wife sew the very bottom lip so it wouldn't keep catching and unfolding. Works good enough.
  16. Be careful man! This weather is going to be harsh. I cancelled my trip and am doing some boat maintenance instead. Good luck
  17. Very nice! I remember fishing for them in NC as a kid with my uncle.
  18. This^^ It's all situational I think. And seriously, no pics of that blue??
  19. Still slow and timing out for me on chrome mobile and Firefox PC.
  20. Mine usually times out or gives error code. Hope it gets better soon.
  21. I use to use Powell exclusively. Now I'm all over the board. Daiwa, Dobyns, irod, okuma and and some Shimano. Too many great options out there.
  22. Gillz shirts for me. They have an integrated sun mask and vents that run along both sides of the shirt and sleeves. Super comfortable and they dry really fast if you get rained on.
  23. 5xd or 6xd for that depth depending on your line size.
