  1. Nope, never heard of the guy......................................... :-X
  2. The winch is definitely the one for the job! I have thrown 5oz baits with it no prob!
  3. Zoom is always a good start for plastics. Inexpensive, durable and they just plain work!!
  4. FireLine braid is by far the best on the market now! Try it and you will never go back!!!
  5. I always set the hook just like i would while casting(just a bit softer). I use braid so it doesn't take much when the fish only a few feet feet out.
  6. A bass rod, especially a casting rod, should never ever come with a foregrip. Like a Steez ? 8-) Naaaaa, he was talking about my G-Blanks ;D I am sure it was Powell he was referring to!!!! :-X
  7. I have one as my designated frog rod. It is an AMAZING stick man! The Powell rods over 7ft are really under rated too. It is labeled MH but is more like Heavy. It has the backbone of a flippin' stick but with a softer tip. I can launch a Spro frog or Rage Tail Toad a mile! It can also double as a jig/worm rod for fishing cover. You will not be disappointed with it. Look at this link at TW, open the link to the site's review of the 735 frog rod. http://www.***.com/descpageRDCPOWELL-PCFR.html
  8. Don't even get me started on this summer! It has been the weirdest i have had on the water in a while! The fish did not display behaviors familiar to other years. We found them shallow when they should have been deep and vice versa. There were some really good fish taken this year though. Can't wait to see what the fall will be like!!!
  9. Why is that so hard to believe!?! If you are on the right body of water and you got the know how than it is VERY possible! Just because it doesn't happen for you doesn't mean it cannot happen!
  10. Here we go again! That couldn't be farther from the truth for me! I have over 14 combos and i get excited the same way each time i add another. Just ordered a new one yesterday and i can't wait to get it!!!
  11. These threads never fail to go South...................................... Did i use the correct smiley!?!
  12. Especially since you have a power rod to do it with now(766H), LOL!!! I have also done this in thick pads/hydrilla with some success.
  13. My favorites are White/White Ice, Baby Bass and Albino.
  14. Not very hard to do really! The new Revos are pretty fugly IMO!
  15. Oh no, not on the bottom! It is an 1/8oz hook with the weight right under the eye of the hook. It is for casting distance mainly. Also, when a fish misses you can stop it and it will fall slowly with the weight. Most of the time they will come back for it. I use a steady retrieve mainly.
  16. A little more vibration/sensitivity a bit less weight and a lot more S E X Y!!!!
  17. Welcome from the "dirty" state!!!!
  18. What it do from FL!!!
  19. X2 I complete ignore that section sometimes! I will change my evil ways though!!!!
  20. When i use to throw these frogs i used the weighted hook from Stanley made for the Ribbits in 4/0 and it was the perfect match.
  21. A jig is not the ideal bait for punching mats! A T-rigged craw(like the 4" Chigger Craw) is a much better choice. Also, you may want to step up to a 1oz or more Tungsten flippin' weight for better penetration.
  22. Abu Garcia reels Powell rods Gamakatsu hooks zoom lures Berkley line/lures Stren line FireLine Rapala lures Strike King lures Culprit lures
  23. Sweeeet deal man!! Keep on reppin' FL bro!!!!!!!
  24. The average for most low pro bait casters is over 7oz! I am amazed by people who think that 1oz matters in a reel!!! Guess they can't all be Steez or Cores!
