  2. Nope, no more! It is a good product but just doesn't last as long as i need it too! Plus, when the green color from my braid gets on the U-40 treated handles it makes for one big mess!!!
  3. Yup, most my rods have it now! I am waiting for it to wear off completely so i can start using my erasers i got!
  4. If applied right, the U-40 is a decent product but not a cure all! After a day or so of being the the hot FL sun on the boat deck it will wear off. I wish i had discovered the Magic Eraser before the U-40!!!
  5. Those two techniques are the one i use about 90% of the time to catch fish. Like stated above, when learning it is best to use a heavier weight. I loosen my spool but not so loose that it will backlash. You need to use the lures weight and momentum to your advantage. If you start out by throwing it hard and than slow down you will most likely get a bad back lash. Practice a lot and than practice some more. Also, look on You Tube, there are some great videos on there that show step by step.
  6. I keep mine the same as for casting and tighten the nagnetics down. I thumb it immediately after initial contact with the water! The rest should handle itself really.
  7. Zoom Trick worm all day
  8. I only have one rod that is under 7ft and i don't use it! I think i can cast farther and get better hook sets with 7ft rods.
  9. Man, didnt take long for you to break youy previous huh!?! CONGRATS
  10. Wish my first was that big man!!! Very nice.......................................... 4lb easy!!
  11. What i would give to fish that man!!! Grab a flippin' stick, craw lure and get to work!!
  12. Dude, please no bright blue.................................hard on the eyes man!!!!
  13. I fish mostly stained water so i use straight braid! In clear water i use straight fluoro!
  14. That's what you should have said in the first place! You don't need an extremely sensitive rod for cranks and top waters.
  15. I highly recommend the Powell Max rods! Specifically the 704C 7ft rod. It is an amazing all purpose rod for $139.00. Very strong and extremely sensitive! Don't let the power/action rating scare you either. They are very over rated rods. It is like a MH/F rod.
  16. It was my second flippin' set up and i hated it! It has monster strength but it is also heavy and bulky! Sensitivity of a board as well!
  17. I pee on my used/damaged lures before tossing them overboard so it can take the scent off and fish cant locate them!
  18. There is hardly any good flippin' set ups for $150 man! That is less than what a decent flippin' stick costs! An excellent 7:1:1 reel is the Revo STX but it is $139.00 right now. For the reel i can think of a Revo S model(not 7:x:1), about $80 new on Ebay. Maybe a Cabela's Fish Eagle rod? For this technique i would not buy just anything though! Flippin' or any kind of contact bait requires a lot of sensitivity in the rod and a strong reel.
  19. I have an Edge 55 and love it!!!
  20. Fluorocarbon is best in the rocks imo! I use BPS XPS and it stands up to just about anything! You could always use braid and a fluoro leader?
  21. Steezy, all those high end rods and you barely felt em!?! LOL, nice fish man!!!!
