Hey Dink, Im not trying to start any crap dude. I used the search engine like we're supposed to and came across this post you made 4 months ago. Can you please elaborate as to why you chose the STX over the other Revos. I'm definitely going Revo but not sure which just yet. Thanks. Peace In another thread you said you used the SX and did not like it! You stated the Curado E was WAY better! Why look for a Revo now(just curious)? If this is true than the STX may not be to your liking either! They are indeed very similar. I chose the STX now mainly because i had not given it the deserved time on the water back then! It is almost even between the SX and STX for me but after using the STX exclusively for a couple months i liked it better! Also, i got the STXs at the discounted TW price so that came into play. Another big factor was that i had two SX break on me in a week on hook sets, lOL! If the prices were all MSRP with no discounts i would pick the SX over the STX and both over the Premier! Man every time i fish with my bro he keeps his limit of dinks to eat. Most of those tiny fish spit out some pretty big blue gills after a while! Trust me, they eat them on a regular basis! The reason they probably don't eat them in the tanks is because they are spoiled spoon fed bass like those at BPS or Cabela's!

The Premier is only rated at 12lbs of drag though and it will only push about 10! CWB: The premier i noticed did not cast as far as the STX. I also got more back lashes with it! It just did not feel smooth or strong enough for my style of fishing!

If you say none are killing it enough to get a hook set than probably not! Unless they were smaller bass, than it might help! Why not try a hollow body frog that you can pause. That usually gets the job done for me when they are short striking!

Yes, amongst the other hundreds of plastics that will work with one. I use the 4" lizards on Shakey heads in the cold months when the fish are stubborn!

I have owned both and hated the Premier! Lightness was all it had on its side! Whoever says they are almost the same has never used both. The drag on the Premier was weak and it was not nearly as smooth as the STX! When Tackle Warehouse put the STX on sale i ended up replacing all my SX and S Revos with them (10 total)! IMO, the STX is the best in the Revo line up(i have used almost every Revo they made)!

I use all black and do not think it makes a difference. With that said, i fish only stained/dark water. The painted tungsten weights are very durable and do not hip easily! Unless you fish a lot of rocks and such!

The ones i fish are all in gated community golf courses. I know both managers so they tell me where the best spots are!
