  1. I just switched all my reels(bait casters) over to left handed models. It took a few hours to get used to it but i love them now!
  2. If you must get one in that price range, i would go with the Abu Garcia Silver Max. You really should save a bit more for the Revo S though!
  3. Lily pads all day every day and even at night, LOL!!!!! Frogged, flipped, pitched cast or any other way i can get in there!
  4. *** 1st and BPS 2nd for me!
  5. I have used the Crucial 7' 6" H/F, the Kistler all day flippin' stick, Daiwa flippin stick, Falcon Cara T7 flippin stick and the some others i cant recall right now! None compare to the strength and sensitivity of the 766 imo! They all felt more like MH/F to me(lacked power). The Crucial still has a fore grip though(i don't like that).
  6. Not if you can feel a bite quick enough! Dont let the fish hold it too long because it will taste it imo. Or just use a quality scent!
  7. The only advantage i see in a telescoping rod is the fact that it is easier to transport. But my one piece flippin' sticks fit on my deck fine. I have tried MANY flippin' rods and none have come close to the Powell 766H! The sensitivity and brute power of this thing is amazing! Very light weight and comfortable to fish with all day. I have both of mine paired with Revo STX reels and 65lb braid. There isn't a freshwater fish swimming that could stand up to this set-up! And even some saltwater species as well!!!
  8. I don't like Dobyns but i own several Falcon Cara T7s and Kistlers as well. The Argon and Helium line of Kistlers is AWESOME!!! Worth every penny imo!
  9. MAN, how did you know!?! They where all H/F, LOL!!! Maybe i got some bad ones? I found them to be too brittle really! They remind me of the Shimano Crucials when it comes to how brittle they feel. The customer service is amazing though!!!
  10. I bought three Fish Eagle II rods last year from them. I broke one on a hook set and one just checking the tip flex with my hand! They refunded me all the $ and covered the return shipping with a pre-paid label as well!
  11. Welcome from the sunshine state!!!!
  12. WOW, that is a big deal!!!!!!
  13. Weren't they introduced illegally!?!
  14. I think it is ridiculous that our lives and those of our families are endangered by selfish people like drunk drivers! Just because they want to go get wasted and than drive, innocent lives are lost every day! Than there are those who want to defend/justify drinking and driving(boat or car) like it is a necessity to consume alcohol! Just as much fun if not more can be had sober. I have a ZERO tolerance for alcohol when outside my home! I have lost fishing partners because i will not allow beer on my boat but i could care less. My cousin who was like my brother and an uncle of mine were killed by drunk drivers!
  15. My local Wal-Mart has them on sale for $3 man! They had about 22 packs when i went. Now, i have 22 packs of them, LOL!!!
  16. I fished it during the week and caught a total of 12 fish. Most around the small island near the Lorida Park dock. Some from the pads near Henderson's as well. Most where caught on spinnerbaits and jigs.
  17. Use it at the right times of year and in the right spots that hold fish! If they aren't there or aren't hitting surface lures than they are useless.
  18. Vanish is trash man! I use 100% Trilene and BPS XPS and love both. The XPS is way stronger though.
  19. He hit it right on the nose here! If you are using a limber rod designed specifically for fishing cranks than you can get away with fluoro. If you are using a regular all graphite, stiffer rod than mono will help compensate for the lack of give in the rod.
  20. I experienced this after getting my first bass boat! I thought i was it when it came to catching bass, LOL! I soon found out that it can be very challenging. My biggest mistake was moving way too much on the lake. Fish promising spots thoroughly with different techniques. BEST OF LUCK
  21. Told ya Koopa! What Cart said is what i said as well!!!
  22. Here in my area it doesn't float like a mat if that's what you are asking. Here it is extremely thick on the bottom and thinner on top. I usually punch through with a 1oz or bigger Tungsten flippin' weight and a soft plastic t-rigged lure.
  23. GREAT, just send me the reel and forget it all ever happened, LOL!!!!!
  24. As i said in th other thread, for pads you really want at least 50lb braid. I use FireLine Braid and it is by far the smoothest and strongest braid as of yet! You will regret not using it when a hawg hits your t-rig and immediately wraps you in the pad stalks and than, well.................................you know the rest!!!!!
