  1. This is true, but unfortunately i just snapped my powell....on a hookset actually. Using the warranty is not the easiest. You have to prove your the original owner and its not near the ease as St. Croix that is my only con i have found with the powell rods....and the break on a hookset...but still a great rod for the money There is NO WAY this is true! I have returned many rods to Keith and he has yet to ask for proof of original ownership! He even waived the first ones fees! And if you managed to break a Powell on a hook set than it must have been an immovable object!
  2. Nothing comes close to the new FireLine Braid IMO!
  3. I will most likely hit it again next weekend just to see whats changed. Let us know how you do man!
  4. Both produce the same for me!
  5. Flippin' stick, braid, topwater frogs and T-rigs into isolated clumps.
  6. Lake Amistad Lake Falcon and even though it's not US, Sugar Lake Mexico
  7. There mainly shore. We had a BAD experience that involved a 20ft bass boat, rain/mud and a D8T dozer that i would rather not recall! Lets just say that it took a while to get the boat out....................... :-X
  8. SUCKS, has all year! That lake gets a ridiculous amount of pressure 24/7! We fished it from Nov 08'-April 09' with minimal results! It use to be my favorite lunker lake! The only action we found was about 4ft into the rush of the two islands! A few stragglers in the pads on Rat-L-Traps but most on jigs. I like Walk-n- Water better now! BEST OF LUCK
  9. Man that is a PIG!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS
  10. Well said Fin@tic!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Join the club bro, we have shirts, LOL! Seriously though, i think people have been doing this for a long time! At least i have, LOL!
  12. I work at the South Ft Meade plant man! That is the area i mainly fish! Maybe we can hit the pits one day? Laterz, Luis
  13. Pitching a 1/2oz Rat-L-Trap into pockets and breaks of cattails, reeds, grass etc!
  14. For C-rigs i use either brass 3/4oz C-Rig weights or Tungsten 1oz flippin' weights. Drop shot i use drop shot weights. It is pretty tough to catch em in those pits due to a massive abundance of forage man! Patience is the key IMO! Big swimbaits have also been the ticket around old dragline spoil piles in deeper water!
  15. I have fished many of them actually! I work with Mosaic so i kinda have access to some. I have found them in 38ft of water when the heat is up like this. My main techniques have been Carolina rigs with 8" lizards, drop shots with flukes, senkos and worms and deep cranks as well. Rat-L-Traps around cattails work good too at night. I would recommend Tenoroc in Lklnd too.
  16. If a Senko with fluorocarbon won't work than i quit!!!!!
  17. But what was wrong with them? I have used them in the past and they where just as good as the other well known names i have tried!
  18. Looks like a great day to me! It is great that you have your boat back and that you participate in your daughters life! Sorry about your gear though! I lost a Kistler Magnesium Jig n Toag with a Revo STX on the South side of Lake Shipp! Anyone who finds it feel free to keep it, LOL!
  19. You got to weigh it before he busted your line!?! LOL, i know what you mean man! It all depends on the area surrounding the dock and why that fish was there. If it is a bass hang out spot or a feeding ground than she should be back. I would suggest you log the time, conditions, lure technique and presentation etc etc. Then wait a couple days and try to return under same conditions/time. BEST OF LUCK
  20. Man i will take those fish any day bro! Nice slop you got there as well! Now go tie on a big Tungsten weight, flippin' hook and craw lure and land some hawgs!!!
  21. When i see this i throw a slow sink Spro BBZ-1 4" shad in the mix!
  22. i flip heavy pads with 65# braid with no issues whatsoever! Even with only an 1/8oz weight sometimes and 20MPH winds!
