Bass Pro Crankin' Stick??
That set-up will handle all your crankin needs perfectly! I have the Crankin' Stick MH/F paired with a BPS Limited Edition Tournament series reel. I even throw spinnerbaits on it and i love it!

Perhaps a way to get introduced to Baitcasters?
X2 I gave mine a shot and she did not do that bad actually! She can cast my Revo STX with no backlash but not very far, LOL!

Rod to pair with Revo STX
I love the STX personally! I have mine on a Kistler Argon 7' 1" H/F and it is a match made in heaven! I also have one on a Powell Max 705C that is near perfect as well!

Weightless Lines
Any will do really man! I use XPS fluoro in 17lb test for my Senkos and flukes.

Unique Question
I have accidentally caught them on Rat-L-traps before. Anything that would attract this size bass will also attract all the other small fish in the lake. It is a very hard task to say the least!

spinner bait/crank rod?
Like stated above, i prefer a MH/f for my crankin'/spinnerbait needs. A lot more versatility imo!

Curado E - Review of Sorts
Even though i love my Revos, i will agree that they can be a pain! The last Curado i tried was the older green ones. I have been thinking about the new Es for a while now though. It can cast a weightless worm with no backlash you say?

why cant we have one of these in the United States?
I hate my wife's stupid TupperCrap parties! But this would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Casting wacky vs. T-Rig
That would all depend on where you are fishing it and the conditions as well. A T-rig is a lot more versatile and can go in places where the Wacky Rig could only dream off!

Ever get into a "Funk"?
Personally, fishing has been a passion for me since a very young age! I could go months without any significant catches and still be content! It would just inspire me that much more to adapt! Drag racing is my other hobby and the same can be said there! I could lose 20 or 100 races in a row and it would just inspire me to one up the competition you know. IMO, when you truly love doing something you do it for just that, because you love it! Besides, that's why it's called fishing and not catching, lol!

What rod and reel for red fish
IMO any of the Abu Garcia or Shimano round reels would be great. They hold a lot of line, cast a mile and are very strong(you will need strength for Reds)!

What rod and reel for red fish
The Abu Garcia Revo Inshore was designed for saltwater fishing. The Fenwick Techna AV series rods are a good choice as well. I recommend this because it is one of my brothers set-ups for Reds. The few times he drags me out for Reds and Snook i use my Powell Max flippin stick and Revo SX spooled with 65lb braid.

St. Croix users
Congrats on the little one man! We just had our second(boy) as well This Sat! IMO, the LTBS68MXF is a far better choice for the technique. It is more versatile and has more moving power. You don't want to go too light with these techniques because there is the potential for big fish!

A bass is a bass?
A bass will adapt to whatever environment it lives in. For example a shallow lake made up of mostly shallow cover will hold the lakes majority of bass in said cover. One with nothing but deep drop offs and points will most likely hold the fish in those areas. The lures used to catch them are basically the same everywhere. Although size, color and presentation may vary, a bass is a bass.
