  3. For what it's worth, Lew's is headquartered down the road in Springfield, Mo.
  4. Jrob, I concur fully with your post. I believe that society has inadverdently created this type of " instant results" without the legwork type of mentality.
  5. Spectacular Bass fishing day. The pictures came out great.
  6. It's the full moon. Good job. I caught 2 on Xmas Eve and one on Christmas Day.
  7. What are your thoughts on a Bass' ability to send some type of alarm to others close by. Perhaps a chemo-receptor that smells or tastes an alert sent out by a Bass that has just been caught and quickly released.
  8. Exactly. The big girls don't make many mistakes. Totally satisfying outcome.
  9. Clayton, that's about as happy as I've seen you. Giant fish from a little pond, Fantastic!
  10. I live one State over in Rhode Island and lived in Madison, Connecticut for 14 years. Here is what I like for the Rapala DT10= Ike's custom colors in Penquin, Disco Shad. Regular colors I use Silver, Pearl Grey Shiner. For Perch colors= Yellow Perch, Perch (darker)
  11. Pa1, That is a tremendous Bass for The North Country. 7lb 10oz. A replica mount would remind you everyday of just how huge that fish is. Congrats, hookset on 3
  12. That Bass gets to feed often and in large quantities! Nice going there for the Northeast.
  13. That is a big ole pig for northern New England. Beautiful Bass with nary a scratch on her. Great Job.
  14. This is very important. If possible watch a You tube video of them tying this leader connection knot or whichever knot you decide on using. Tie them slowly and moisten the heck out of them. Good Luck.
  15. Norman Lures- Fat Boy squarebill crankbait. color- Apparition. This color is similar to the ghost minnow. I purposely try other sqaurebills and the Bass are like "meh". So it's back to the Apparition and they whack it. Neko rig- Z man lures Finesse worm 4 inch. Two colors have been working the best. 1. Coppertruese 2. Easy Money put a Eco Pro tungsten Nail weight in thru the top of the worm. Dragging and lightly shaking my rod tip as found the most success.
  16. Try a 3/8oz. All-Terrain Grass jig. This will zip right through that moss.
  17. The XCS 100's for $3 is criminal. I catch the sheit out of 'em with those squarebills. They are out of business as of last month.
  18. Mrs. Blue is a very considerate wife. Glad you two had fun in sunny Florida. Hookset on 3
  19. Excellent Points. Most BASS Elite pros couldn't have possibly gauged how incredibly talented the top tier guys were. If you muff up on a tournament day, these guys will give you a Royal Spanking! It doesn't matter how tough the fishing is, somebody is going to figure them out and bring 'em to the weigh-in. 20. Will, that is an outstanding day of Bassin' on the Q. The Largemouth is a tank. Prespawn at it's best. Hookset on 3
  21. Excellent advice Capt'n. Stay with it and try some things that our outside your comfort zone. Throw a really big swimbait, either hard body or soft boot tail. You might just hook one of those big girls that get active in the early pre-spawn time frame. Good fishing, Hookset on 3
  22. Being from the Northeast, I was thinking the exact same thing. It's been rough up here. Anyhow, that first fish is a beauty. Keep it going. Congrats!
  23. Andrew, that's a giant Florida Largemouth right there! You have put in countless hours of Bassin around those JAX ponds and small lakes. You really earned it! Great job Man.
  24. A Tazer that zaps those litter-bugs at the lake or pond. As soon as the garbage hits the water or ground, they get jolted.
  25. This is exactly how I roll. I have the same canoe as Goose52.
