A Sad Day
I was fishing with my dad back in 94 on Swift Creek Rez when a lightning storm came up on us, We were fishing against a tree lined bank and never saw it coming. Of course, our trolling motor had died earlier and we were just drifit/paddling along back to the ramp. I've been shot at and was never so scared in all my life. It was like God was practicing archery except he kept missing. We ended up jumping out in 3 feet of water, picking up the jon boat and sliding it on to shore behind some dude's house whose parents were out of town. The whole time he was like..."Wow....that's AWESOME man!" Watching the bolts. Ever since then, no siree, I don't mess around. RIP

Drop-Shot Vs Down-Shot (What's The Diff?)
Well I'll be...thanks guys.

Drop-Shot Vs Down-Shot (What's The Diff?)
As far as I can see, the only difference between the drop shot and the down shot is the use of a bell sinker, and a smaller ewg worm hook to use slightly bigger baits. What else am I missing? The knot?

What Should I Use
Try a 5" Reaction Innovations Boom Boom Tube. Stick one of those plastic rattles with the hole inside the bait, texas rig it and run hook through the hole in rattle so it stays put. Use a magnum Stand up jig or peg a bullet weight on it. Drag along the shore and shake the ***** out of it. Use a dark color and Spike the tentacles with Chartreuse if there's any light source like a light pole or dock lights.

Music While Fishing
I'm a music fanatic, but I don't cuz I wont hear the big splash of a big fish behind me, or the hiss of a moccasin dead ahead.

Bluegill Skirt
Hi Bill, Thats a cool looking bait there. I'm just now starting to make my own jigs and would love to have a copy of your Excel sheet as a reference when making my own skirts if you don't mind. My first one was a little ho hum. Tried to do a Junebug Bluegill, but my shades were too similar and my Green Pumpkin tab just didnt look right. Thanks in advance. Marion PS: Thanks for the Spike It tip.

Is There A Place For Super Glue In Lure Making?
Another issue I had is the paint partially filling the weed guard hole, making it difficult to seat the guard. What's the best way to deal with this?
