Tell us about your screen name
Mine actually has two meanings the original stands for Cajun Anglers Tournament Tackle Because I use to make custom tackle for local anglers who didn't have sponsors but I believed on their talent. It also just happens to stand for Carol And Thomas Thibodeaux

How to find bass deep during winter?
Bass located on deep structure are less affected by seasonal weather patterns than bass located on shallow structure. Outside bends of a river or creek are common hangouts for deep water bass. Because of the water flow in the river or creek a ridge has been formed on the outside of the bend. Find the top of these ridges! Spots where two creeks intersect or where a feeder creek intersects with the main river are areas experienced deep water anglers seeks. Inside the Y created by the intersection is where you want to. Techniques: Texas Rigs, Carolina Rigs, Drop Shot Rigs, Deep Cranks & Jigging Spoons

LSU Backed in to the BCS Championship Game?
If you're sick of hearing about LSU why did you even open this topic? Why should Hawaii sign to join the BCS Pete Carroll did yet he still lies about a split championship. If you notice on the USC web site they are not holding the Crystal Ball of the BCS Champions that trophy resides in Baton Rouge. Going undefeated does not make you the best team out there; example 2007 Ohio State Buckeye finished the season 12-0 while the Florida Gators finished the season 12-1. Outcome Gators 41 Buckeyes 14

LSU Backed in to the BCS Championship Game?
Ok first you must understand the BCS, every team has to sign a contract agreeing to the BCS system Hawaii did not sign this agreement so therefore it is not the BCS who is at fault but rather Hawaii's athletic director. The BCS is acknowledging the underdog by at least ranking them. Next about the split championship, there is no such thing; it is a figment of Pete Carroll's imagination. The *** of the BCS was to stop split championships; the same contract that Hawaii has not signed USC has signed agreeing there would be only one recognized champion the Bowl Series Champion. Another myth is no 2 loss team has played for the championship but the truth is no 2 loss team has ever played in a BCS championship. 1959 Minnesota 8-2 & 9 times the champion had either 2 ties or 1 loss & 1 tie. You well a tie isn't really a loss but these teams including USC won despite other teams going having only one loss. The NCAA does not award a consensus national champion for Division I-A football. The NCAA guide lists 340 national championship selections in 137 seasons, an average of between two and three selections every year ever. The reason we do not have a playoff system is the PAC 10 & the Big Ten refuse the vote for one and they control the money in the NCAA but that is quickly changing with the SEC & the Big 12 gaining dominance.

LSU Backed in to the BCS Championship Game?
Fivebass name me one team who has beaten a better schedule? Final BCS ranked wins: #3 Virginia Tech, #12 Florida, #16 Tennessee, & #23 Auburn #3 through #7 & #9 all has 2 losses #3 Virginia Tech lost to LSU #4 Oklahoma beat #6 Missouri twice & #19 Texas #5 Georgia lost to South Carolina & Tennessee both of whom LSU beat; their only top 25 win was over #23 Auburn. Plus the did not win their division or conference #6 Missouri beat #8 Kansas & #13 Illinois #7 USC only beat one top 25 ranked team #11 Arizona State #8 Kansas lost to its only top 25 ranked team #9 West Virginia only beat one top 25 team #22 Cincinnati #10 Hawaii is not a BCS Team

Winter Strategy
Go down to Central Bass Fishing & read Tom_Redington's December Lake Fork report. That's about as good as it gets

Been reading a little bit of Bass Biology Articles
Big bass are controlled by certain environmental factors 1. Reproduce effectively 2. Feed efficiently (maximize food intake and minimize energy output) 3. Prosper during extreme seasonal changes 4. Achieve good growth rates by domination of the warmer areas of the lake during the colder seasons. Big bass live such a simple live that it goes straight over most anglers' heads

jigs and c-rigs
Ok let me see if I'm getting this right? I'll always heard you should keep the rod tip low in the 8-9 o'clock position, sweep horizontal to the water, & set hook with the same horizontal motion. The idea is that this keeps you from lifting the weight off the bottom. Yet when I've watched the Pro during tournaments they are dragging the C-rig vertically like a T-rig. With the horizontal drag is that every thing is fine as long as I'm casting directly over the bow or directly behind the boat, turn my body sideways and start the sweep. The problem I run into is directly over the bow or directly behind the boat aint always where I want to cast. If I cast perpendicular to the boat, start sweeping then there is trolling motors, consoles with wind shields or outboards in the way. Keep in mind on Toledo Bend C-rigs with lizards are killer but you gonna be all up in the buck brush. So I guess my point is it doesn't matter if I sweep vertically as long as I compensate by shorting the sweep keeping the weight on the bottom. Make any sense to anybody?

Johnson Silver Minnow
Below are just a few of the top of my head that are single hook weedless spoons Johnson Silver Minnow Heddon Moss Boss Nemire Red Ripper Daredevil weedless spoon Mepps Timber Doodle Cabela's Diamond spoon As mentioned before any pork, plastic, or skirt can be used as a trailer As with any top water bait you must wait until you feel the weight of the bass before setting hook. When I see or feel the strike I point my rod towards the fish, reel down to semi-slack, feel the fish, & then use a quick snap hook set. Many anglers use braided line for harder hook set but I feel this more often than not pulls the bait from the fish's mouth. Any time I'm fishing a top water bait of any kind I'll have a Texas rig on the deck for follow up cast to missed fish. I'll usually opt for weightless or 1/32nd or 1/16th oz bullet weight; another excellent setup is a Texas rigged trick worm with a nail in the tail. If the vegetation is matted to semi-matted I'll the spoon on top but if the vegetation is scattered or I in lots of brush I'll fish the spoon just under the surface or slow roll it. Spoon fishing in the marshes along the entire Gulf Coast is a staple for bass & Red fishermen alike.
