I agree it's what you have confidence in that counts but don't try telling me that if I use tungsten I will automaticly catch more fish cause I gonna say BS. I will also call BS if you say tungsten is more sensitive cause your weight aint what telegraphs sensitivity even if it's less amount of line touching the weight cause a ¼ oz is a ¼ oz if it's at the end of your line or 10' up it.

I still alive & kicking, between the problems with the site and me re-injuring my back I've been MIA. Tweaked my back Friday before last and missed 3 days work last week, then went to have an MRI this past Friday and returned to work for 6 hours. I spent the last 4 days barely being able to stand or walk much less go fishing (had to turn down 3 trips)

Conventional knowledge indicates that the male bass builds the nest, fans it out and guards it (zealously). Generally, a good male that is aggressive and active will attract more than one female to his nest and spawn with each of them. Along with that, an active female will spawn a number of times and, in most cases, in a number of different males' nests. She moves down the shoreline making it with different males. The male sits in one spot and waits for more females to come by. I think that is sort of a hedge (on the part of the female) against an infertile male spoiling the hatch of a good fertile female. So she spread her eggs around and he spreads his fertility around. That ensures a higher success rate for that spawn. That is important knowledge for fishermen, because most people think that once the female leaves the bed, only the male is left. It is true that the female only guards the nest for a short time before moving away, but other females will come to that nest. The other thing to keep in mind is that this isn't a long, drawn-out process. Once the water reaches the upper 60 degrees, which is ideal, it only takes about three or four days for the eggs to hatch. I think the male will spend about six weeks on the beds as the females rotate through, but the whole spawning season happens over three full moons, bringing a new wave of spawning with get full moon period. Cook emphasizes that understanding the spawning habits of the female bass will significantly improve your chances of catching some of the biggest bass of the year. He believes that the female often moves on and off of the bed to deposit more eggs (hatchery studies support this claim). Few females drop all of their eggs at once. So that means if I don't catch say 25% more bass with Tru-Tungsten then I did this year I can sue you? That's ; I normally want call something BS but this one is. Sensitivity has nothing to do with the material of your weight; it has to do with you rod, line, and your hands. Granted tungsten will come through grass due less resistance but the majority of those bass were caught in grass and the reason was my bait disturbs the grass attracting the bass.

Top 150 anglers on the B.A.S.S. circuit BASS Master's brought their Top-150 Pro/Am event here to Toledo Bend in February 2001; there had not been a B.A.S.S. event here on Toledo since 1980/1981 season. Fishing as a co-angler you are completely at the mercy of your Pro. Day 1 started out delayed due to heavy fog, my Pro and I sat back in a pack of about 10 boats. One of the boats tied to our boat was Larry Nixon who I know quite well, my Pro who I'll leave un-named asked Larry since you know this lake very well what direction are you planning on heading north or south? Larry simply stated if I had the amateur you have in the back of your boat I would head to his waters. The word was out during pre-fishing that many huge bass were being caught on the south end of the lake and that a certain Cajun was leading the pack. Well day 1 was canceled due to the fog meaning I would spend day 2 with the same Pro. We were the 10 boat in line to leave Cypress Bend with only 2 of the previous boat heading south and I'm thinking alright. Well guess what? You guessed it my Pro turns his Ranger due north at 85 mph staying on that course until we were so far north that when he stopped I told him Dude I aint got no Oklahoma license. Needless to say we spend all morning on the extreme north end of the lake just so my Pro could catch 1 bass of maybe 2 ½ lbs. Oh yea I ended up in 44th overall and never did get to fish the south end where the tournament was won by Dean Rojas but I did beat Jimmy Houston and Roland Martin who were both skunked. Absolutely not worth the money, for what y'all pay for 4 or 5 weights I can buy 100, I don't buy into this sensitivity BS either; sensitivity is in your rod, line, and hands. I've been told I would catch more bass by simply changing to tungsten; I say dude do you know how many bass I catch yearly? Show me your record, I'll show you mine & let's see which is better. I don't think there is any thing wrong with using tungsten but it aint an advantage

Structure is a portion of the bottom that is different from the surrounding area, like bars, humps, creek-channels, riprap, and submerged points of land, according to Buck. A structure fishing situation consists of a structure, breaks, break lines and deep water. "Breaks" are things on the structure's bottom like stumps, rocks, weeds, logs, and bushes. A "break line" is a line or lines along the structure's bottom where there is a defined increase or decrease in depth, either sudden or gradual like the edge of a channel, hole or gully. There are other break lines, too, like a weed line wall, a brush line, where two bodies of water meet which differ in temperature, color or water current. Deep water to the serious structure fisherman is water with depths greater than 8 or 10 feet. It's at this point, according to Buck, that a budding bass angler must get a proper mental fix on structure fishing. Buck says anglers must recognize from the beginning that not all good-looking structures harbor bass. But, he explains, never will bass be found that are not related to structure in some manner. I seriously doubt your problem is name brand or how you're fishing the plastic but rather where and when you're fishing the plastic. Odds are if you're catching bass on spinner, crank, and top water baits (upper water column) the bass will not hit bottom baits. now if you're catching bass on jigs but not plastic you may want to try bulkier baits like creature baits.
