  2. You will find that XCalibur lures and Cotton Cordell are owned by the same company Lurenet Pradco, therefore it would be completely legal for XCalibur to have the color Rayburn Red. XCalibur Baits 3601 Jenny Lind Road Fort Smith, AR 72901 PRADCO-Fishing 3601 Jenny Lind Rd Fort Smith, AR 72901 Dude I'm not trying to be cocky but I do know tackle quite well

  4. The entire topic in a nut shell Redlinerobert stated I'm looking for a shallow running Rattlin Rogue in "Rayburn Red" Does anyone here have any they'd like to sell me or put me in contact with a place that may have them?? LBH stated I was searching for a minute here, trying to help out and notice that there is no "Rayburn Red" listed on the Bill Lewis site anymore. Has this color been re-named? Munkin stated I own about 100 Rogues some of which are old but I have never seen any that would make Rayburn Red (like Excalibur Rayburn Red)? Redlinerobert stated I would assume Rayburn red is Rayburn red in any lure though? My answer is You will not find any other lure color Rayburn Red because it is an exclusive color of Cotton Cordell's Hot Spot. Thank you kindly for reading the entire topic Tommy T
  5. I use Fish Formula II or Baitmate (clear) with a ½ oz of pure anise oil added
  6. The only difference is in the length and weight Magnum Spook: 7 - 2.5 oz. Wooden Super Spook: 5" - 7/8oz Zara Spook: 4 1/2 - 3/4 oz. Super Spook Jr.: 3 1/2" - 1/2 oz Zara Puppy: 3 - 1/4 oz.
  7. I would have to say 70% electronics with no map and 30% electronics with a map. This is a direct result of the fact I turn my electronics are turned on as soon as my transducer hit water and is not turned off until the boat is back on the trailer. It doesn't matter if I'm just idling or running I'm constantly scanning my electronics. I have a couple dozen spots that are in a boat lane or within casting distance of a boat lane.
  8. What you are not remembering is this is a tidal area, what Iaconelli saw in the aerial photo was a bayou, creek, or canal in which the tide was moving causing a clearing of the water. Why did Iaconelli look for clear water? And how did he know the fish would be there? Why was the prey so abundant in this 5 acre spot of clear water? They all are related to tidal movement, when the tide moves the bait moves and the bass bite

  10. This is what all the Crawfish Farmers in Louisiana use, they can be bought or made.
  11. A friend of mine just bought a 1995 Skeeter ZX150 18' State Team Addition with a Yamaha Pro-V 150 HP for $5300.
  12. FYI: Rayburn Red is not a Rat-L-Trap color; it's a Cotton Cordell Hot Spot color #C25186

  15. NOOO! Aluminum and fiberglass flex at different rates. What I have heard is the best stuff is Gluv-it. You coat the inside with it, and it will seal all leaks, and prevent many leaks from starting. Now that's funny stuff right there If your aluminum is flexing enough to crack fiberglass resin you got more problems than leaky rivets. If you're going to re-set the rivets you will need a rivet set that fits the head of the rivets along with a bucking bar, rivets are not set with a hammer.

  22. Shimano Crucial is an excellent choice in that price range, I've been looking at them since I had someone break my G. Loomis BCR804 GLX. I would also look into the CastAway XP3 series and the upper end Allstar rods.

  24. Oldham's Lures Trailer Hitch Jig, 3/8 oz Black/Blue, Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craws in 6 with 1 ½ cut off the tail.
  25. Explain your definition of jig trailer? I have fished spinner baits with pork chunks attached to slow the fall, here the basic technique. Single #5 gold Colorado blade, ¼ to 3/8 oz body, white skirt, & a white Uncle Josh craw frog, kicker frog, or original #11 pork frog. Cast the bait close to brush, stumps, or lay downs letting it helicopter down, then quickly lift it and repeat. This technique works well on pre-spawn bass staging in shallow water (2-8').
