  6. Under any conditions one should always look for contour changes along the bottom. Once these areas are located work all available cover with reaction baits until you establish a pattern and then switch to slower presentations.
  7. Depends on if you want to catch big fish or not If you want to catch big bass it's very important, there are very few areas I fish that are not within close proximity of a creek channel. When studying a map and I locate a cove that doesn't have a creek channel running through it I don't even bother
  8. I would mix weather in there some where but I'll give it thumbs up

Was when they forced Ray Scott out cause with him went the dream of B.A.S.S. I also heard the Jerry McKinnis is leaving B.A.S.S. and ESPN. I've also heard rumors (from an inside source) of Academy stepping up their sponsorship $$$ of tournaments.

  18. RW, most marinas around Texas have the cell phone # as well as the land line # to contact the Share-A-Lunker Program. I would suggest y'all ask at the marina where y'all will be staying they should have all the info. Or better yet shoot Tom_Redington an Email

  23. When faced with stained/muddy pre-spawn conditions one should look for contour changes along the bottom. From your description I would target the cypress trees, buck brush, and logs because these are potential spawning areas. The bass will be hanging out near this cover until conditions are right for spawning, until then they will move shallower or deeper depending on weather and water temperatures. You also mentioned heavy thunder storms which may have produced a rise in the water level; this will not only move the bass shallower but scatter them as well. Lure selections would be any thing you have confidence in that offers accurate casting
