@Mobasser I understood that from the beginning, some didn't grasp it.

On some bodies of water I fish you have to give em one thousand one, one thousand two, & that's your A$$ but never 40 seconds. I doesn't susprise me they will hold on that long. When prefishing a tournament I never stick em with worms or jigs. I'll shake em off & sometimes that requires reeling em to the boat to get em to let go..
  3. I don't care if I'm throwing a Medium Moderate, Medium Heavy X-Fast, or Heavy Fast, I take control on the hookset & don't let up until they're on the thumb. In my waters anything less will result in a hung up fish. I'm using Berkley Big Game with X-Fast & braid with Fast.
  4. Get used to it! Last 3 trips (12 hrs) was nothing but casting practice.
  5. Zoom's Ultravibe Speed Worm watermelon neon with the tail dipped in Spike-it Dip-N-Glo chartreuse garlic. 1/8 oz bullet weight & 3/0 straight shank hook.
  6. Trailer lights only work in the driveway! Soon as that cop pulls up behind you one will quit working.
  7. I be getting a lot casting practice!
  8. Oh yeah we have some Crappie that are kinda large.
  9. D’Arbonne Lake, Bussey Break, & Caney Lake all made the Top 25 for 2022. The Red River has had some historic tournaments. Louisiana Delta has hosted the the Bassmaster Classic 5 times. Speck-n-Red fishing rivals anywhere.
  10. Nahh! ? Which hatch do ya match? This years? Last years? 5 years ago? Do ya match the runt or the alpha?
  11. Given a choice I prefer to anchor upwind, I can stay farther away from the fish, make long cast with Texas Rigs, Jig-n-Craws, Carolina Rigs, Wobble Heads, & Swimbaits. Yeah but Catt the bass are facing the current. Correct ? We're talking wind driven currents, how deep do y'all think wind causes current? If I sit back & make a long cast that bass don't know where that worm came from.
  12. Toledo Bend Reservoir impounded in 1969, 65 miles long, 10 miles wide, 185/190,000 acres, with 1,264 miles of shoreline. Toledo Bend was voted in the top 10 almost every year since its impoundment.
  13. Worm rod Powell Inferno 703C Medium Heavy X-Fast, Lew's Team Lite TLL1SH 7.5:1 spooled with Berkley Big Game 15#. Jig-n-Craw rod Daiwa Tatula TTU711MHXB Medium Heavy X-Fast, Lew's Tournament MP TS1HMP 6.8:1 spooled with Berkley Big Game 15#. Medium Heavy is supposed to be between medium and heavy. The Inferno leans more towards medium while the Tatula leans more towards heavy.
  14. This is where I disagree ? I anchor in 20' of water with only 30' of rope & a 20# anchor. Yes I understand the US Navy recommends your rope be 3 times the depth of the water but I ain't anchoring an aircraft carrier on the open seas. In shallow water I use a marsh anchor & the same 30' of rope.
  15. C'est Fini (that's it finished)
  16. Best advice I ever received was from a world renowned fly fisherman, "let the rod do the casting, its better at it than your arm!" Other than punching most anglers use rods that are to "stiff" for what they're trying to achieve.
  17. Subject to change with age!
  18. I practice with what I plan on fishing with!
  19. Weedgaurd ain't the problem, it's the angle of the hook eye. Look at these two
  20. Oldham's & Hack Attack Fluorocarbon jigs require nothing to be done to the weedgaurd
  21. I'd stay right here ? If money wasn't an object I would travel this great nation. Many times in the past when we went on vacation I would plot a coarse that would purposely lead by historic lakes. Some of the lakes I fished, some i just drive around in awe! One year I drove down to a marina on Dale Hallow just to stand on a wharf & grin.
  22. Elk rib eye steak medium rare with bake sweet potatoe Pot roasted Pintail Black Bird Jambalaya Teal breast wrapped in bacon on the grill Deer, rabbit, & squirrel sauce piquante cooked in a cast iron dutch over on a open fire.
  23. Like everyone I to have a nice variety. I could easily go 100% Zoom & not lose any productivity. This is what I carry boat or bank. The first three are worms; stick, straight tail, curl tail, ribbontail. Next one is craw worms Next one is creatures & lizards Next one is beaver tails & bugs Next one is frogs
  24. Rebel P71 Pop-R Bone Orange Belly
