Tips For Spooling Braided Line On Spinning Gear?
For bass fishing, yep add some backing. For all of my saltwater gear (like you see in the video), it's braid all the way. The simple fact is this, you're probably not going to be getting spooled out bass fishing. In the big blue water though, you never know. A big kingfish or wahoo can easily rip off 3/4 of a spool on the initial run. Backing in that case could lead to a lost fish.

I Cant Fish My Lake Anymore? What Can I Do?
Getting access to most of the good lakes is next to impossible. I've got the one I live on, and one other with a launch ramp that I've been able to get into. Other than that the majority of them are blocked off in one way, shape, or form.

I Cant Fish My Lake Anymore? What Can I Do?
Unfortunately, if it is private property, there isn't a darn thing you can do about it. You can always keep on fishing it, just be ready to deal with the consequences if you're caught. I feel your pain though, lots of those areas are getting harder and harder to fish.

Livetarget Frog Issues
I personally am not a fan of them. I tried them when they first came out. Gorgeous finish on it, at least for a little while. I can live with color fading and paint peeling. The thing that made me toss mine was that the hooks were trash. Bent far too easily, IMO. Hooks that bend and frogging are not a good mix.

Pretty darn good, Sam. Fry em up! Like Diggy mentioned though; I don't think I'd eat them on a regular basis knowing what's in some of the canals down here.

Sounds more like a vacation. Last time I was over there, it wasn't nearly as nice. Enjoy it. There are far worse places to be. Just think, you're getting paid to work out. On the civilian side, I have to pay some other dude so I can work out hope you get some fishing in, I'd be interested to see what all you catch over in that part of the world.

2012 Roadtrip! Be There!
Man, I'm so tempted to just say screw it and make the drive up. Only problem is my mother turns 60 on the 20th and we're planning a big surprise bash. Naturally we also picked up a good client for a job on the 24th. Hope you guys have a bunch of fun. I need to make it to a Roadtrip one of these days. Looking forward to seeing some giant fish pics.

Braid On A Spinning Rig
Not a problem. Just go out and experiment a bit. Find out what works best for you. Have fun doing it. That's one of the most important aspects of fishing. Tailor your gear to your own personal style of fishing. What works for me, may or may not work for you.

Braid On A Spinning Rig
If you think you need to, then go for it. There are no absolutes in fishing. If I said you have to add one, I can guarantee somebody else will say no you don't. How much do you believe in line visibility? If you're fishing around a lot of rocks and are concerned bout abrasion resistance, than I would. Having a leader also does make it a bit easier to break off the line than straight braid. If you do add a leader, learn how to tie the Albright and modified Albright ( also called an Alberto ) knots. Practice it until you can do it in your sleep. When you tie it right, it's fantastic. When you tie it wrong, you're going to hate life.

Stay safe, and try to have some fun. I enjoyed Kuwait the times I was there. Wish I had the opportunity to do some fishing though. Make sure you use some time to hit the gyms. A) you'll come home jacked. it's a great time killer. Stay hydrated and duck if you hear a hissing sound.

Braid On A Spinning Rig
You can use braid for anything. It's completely up to you. A lot of people, myself included, are using braid on spinning gear. You basically eliminate the most common problems that spinning gear has with line memory, line twist, etc. Personally I use a 20 pound braid. I'll add a leader whenever or wherever I see fit.

Just How Much Is Full On A Baitcaster
As a sidenote, it's also easier to thumb the spool on casting gear if it's filled properly. I can definitely notice the difference if I don't fill a spool all the way, or if I'm getting low.

Wish I could have been there, Shane. Unfortunately I had to spend the morning in my shop prepping a bunch of stuff for a client. I saw some of the stuff you guys got sent for the raffles and prizes. Very cool stuff. Glad to see some more companies starting to support the roundups. Well done, guys.
