X2 I had a bunch of split grips for a while, I've gone back to full grips on all of my newer purchases. They just feel more comfortable to me. Especially when I cast with both hands.

Dirty Jigs in various head styles and sizes. I'll mostly use the pitchin jig or the no jack jig. The skirted football jig is great for the strip pits that are all over the place down here. Colors are generally dark. Blacks, blues, darker greens, etc. Trailers are usually a matching color, tipped with chartreuse dye. Rage chunk or craw and a beaver type plastic is about all I use unless it's a swim jig. Then it's just a matter of picking out your favorite paddletail.

Agreed. If I could change one thing on mine, I'd get rid of the suicide doors. It's an amazing PIA when the release cable for the latches break inside of the door skin.....

My Ford ain't no toy. Although its getting old now, still pulls my boat around without any problems. Far better than any other tow vehicle I've used. I know that it weighs far, far more than any bass boat out there. 2000 F150 7700 towing package 125k+ miles on it now. Still runs like its brand new. Only problem with it is that it's a bit of a gas hog. What can you do though. I'm not going out to buy a new truck any time soon. That 4 cylinder diesel sure looks intriguing though....

Doug, Without going into great detail, I'm with you. There are some seriously strange people in southern Florida..... You're just one of them.

I wear protective gear each time I'm fishing. Columbia shirts and shorts/pants, Buff neck/head wrap, as well as Buff gloves. It gets stupid hot down here with the UV index generally being somewhere equivalent to the surface of the sun. I like having my tan skin. I don't like getting burned. Plus wearing that gear actually keeps you cooler and more comfortable when you're out. I may look like a fool, but I know that I'm protected. I don't want to death with easily preventable health issues later on in life. We all spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year on rods, reels, line, and lures. Might as well spend a few more bucks on clothing that's going to let you keep fishing harder and longer. Before you go out and buy one, do some research. Buy from a reputable manufacturer. Spend some time trying on the clothing if at all possible. You want to make sure you get a good fit that won't restrict you while fishing.

It's this strange phenomenon that happens when all the planets are aligned. It's truly a magical thing. You should try it out once yourself. It's a great way to send a heavy lure into orbit..... Anybody in Kansas find that Hudd I launched a couple of weeks ago?

Out of the two, a 50E. The Curado D series are large, heavy, and fairly bulky. That being said, I have several D series Curados and love them. Absolute workhorse of a reel. Mine have gone through hell and back and just keep on ticking. To 50E fits fantastically in the hand. It all will come down to personal preference in the long run.

I turned 30 last year. My family has a history of weight and heart related problems. I'm just doing what little things I can do to make sure I'm around for a long time to watch my daughters grow up. Plus, it's just a quality of life thing. I want to make sure that I'm able to enjoy everything I want as I get older. I'll never stop drinking soda, but if cutting back will help me lose a few pounds, it sure as hell doesn't hurt any.

Much less than in years past at BPS. I think I spent roughly 200 bucks this year in the store. Was nice to see the Dania location selling some new products though. I buy the majority of my stuff online now from various other places.
