Do you kiss your fish?????
I was watching a bill dance episode and one plano tackle tip was to not kiss fish. He said that they carry some sort of bacteria that causes diarrhea and flu like symptoms. I have never kissed a fish, but the one day I catch the bass, I'm giving it a kiss no matter what.

I am the worst fisherman in the history of bass fishing!
I always take the advice of my fellow fisherman. I understand the basic ideas of what they are saying. I used to catch fish, but something has happened. I always come to this site first because of the great selection of knowledge. I would never doubt any of these fishermen and women. I have not gotten the time to try out their techniques. I am already doing the techniques. My problem is finding fish.

another successful attempt at a new technique
Dude, you are doing the perfect thing. Choosing a certain technique for each fishing trip is a great way to master a technique. Some fisherman bring all of their gear and when something does not work, they switch over and over again. I admire that. The more baits you have, the inclined you are to use them and look over the real bass catchers. Great catch, I have tubes and am really looking to use them. Go t-rig!!

Help me please?
I am not a strike king guy, try simply bringing it to a sporting goods store and showing the staff. try dicks, they are a big supporter of strike king.

I am the worst fisherman in the history of bass fishing!
The real problem is not being addressed. I have done all that is recommended. I know how to t-rig and work all my baits. I appreciate all the support. I'm pretty sure you are all accomplished fisherman and have the experience to catch any fish you wanted. the guide would be a great help, but the places where I fish simply do not have access to guides. There is something missing like a piece to a puzzle. I am part of NAFC and have multiple books and always watch their shows as well as the entire versus channel. I think that I have all the knowledge I just cant pull the trigger when I am at the lake. I kill myself to fish slow and still do not get any bites. I would be happy with one fish per outing, I just wish I could be consistent.

I am the worst fisherman in the history of bass fishing!
I have a grand variety of baits from plastics to jigs. I know how to use them all. I know how to fish structure and no usually where to find fish. However, I have never caught more than 1 fish per outing. Also, I have only caught 1 fish this year. I have pretty much gone fishing every weekend from the end of April. I consider myself the worse fisherman to date. I know how bass act but I always choke up on every outing. I have never had anyone to teach me and have been fishing since I could walk (I don't understand it either). People in my family hate fishing. Perhaps if I had a teacher or someone to care about what I do, maybe I could increase my catches. I feel that i just plain out suck. I have used magic baits and senkos! still no takers on those. I always do my research for each lake and bait. Therefore there is no excuse. I love the scenery of fishing and being outdoors, but I just cannot land any fish. Bill Dance once said that pheromones have a great impact on attracting fish. Perhaps, I have bad pheromones. I went out to my lake today, perfect conditions and guess what........................got skunked. It has become a norm that my family does not even care to ask if I caught anything. When I do catch something, they are very surprised....what an insult. Anyway, fish were jumping and I could not catch them. I am seriously thinking about putting the rods away for good. I never catch any fish! To think of all the money I spent on rods and baits, what a waste. Perhaps I'm a golfing guy. Not catching fish and knowing what how to catch them is so demoralizing. ( I do not want to go back to live bait fishing, I love controlling the bait on my own and adding anything I want to it. )

Massive Rain Dilemma
do you recommend any more baits?

Massive Rain Dilemma
There were some massive rains in Chicago yesterday. I went up to Lake Glenview and fished. The water had risen a ft or 2 and the water was like chocolate milk. I only had an hour to fish and got skunked. I am going again today. I need some help on the situation. What baits should I bring and what structure should I work? There is a dock, lily pads and grass. However, everything is well under water. Is there a point to even fish or should I just wait? Not to mention the water is going to be between 85 and 90 degrees. I realize I jig would work. By jigging rod is currently out of action. It is safe to use on a spinning reel? (Bass jigs)

Inexperienced Fisherman
I am a die hard bass fisherman. I am going on a trip to Lake Barrington in Illinois. I have heard that the lake mainly has trout and fish like that. I have no idea how to fish for trout. Are there any other types of fish here? Please I need a Chicago guy to help me out! Trout help or basic water info will be appreciated!

fishing a jig
A jig is an all season bait. It is the most versatile bait and will produce when other baits dont. You simply fish it as a worm. The strike is very difficult to describe. The strike is based on the fish. watch the line very closely. it will move in different directions. also, recognize the weight of the bait. Usually if there is an irregularity that means a fish has provably taken it. By simply experimenting the jig in many different structures you will develop a sixth sense for its feeling. All I can say is, practice!practice!practice! use the bait and you will experience all that you wanted to know.

Free custom colored baits
So i was putting some of my baits away and noticed that i had left a zoom mag purple worm and a watermelon zoom fluke together. The colors had blended and I was left with a really awesome purple and watermelon color. This was a cool thing. I started doing this more to my baits, I am waiting to test the new colors out. The longer you leave the baits together the more solid color each bait will receive. You can make so many different shades of colors. Who knows, maybe I'll stumble across the next big color (death for the sexy shad!) anyone ever do this? stumbled across it by accident.

Lure of Choice
Soft plastics are beast! They can be anything. Therefore you have a better choice of selection. Also, they stay in the strike zone longer and you can fish them almost anyway. You can jig soft plastics, you can swim soft plastics and you can fish them on the top water. Hence, soft plastics are a very broad title to put on baits.

Shaky Head Love
I just picked up my new set of luck e strike shaky head jigs and worms. The kit was $14 , but what the heck. the hype was building around this technique so i had to try it. I have got to say, I am amazingly impressed. The action of these baits are amazing. I was playing around with the shaky heads and looked through all my gear to jig. I came across a bps tourney kit that i had had. I looked in and saw a bunch of shaky worms that i have never understood. I grabbed in numerous sizes and tied them on. These baits basically worked themselves. The worm stood completely upright and shook seductively every time you jerk it. I tried some 7 inch worms but I had some problems. I decided to take my pliers and bend the hook into an angle. This worked exceptionally well. The worm looked so life like. I just cant wait to try it out. Guys, this bait looks so awesome and I cant wait to use it. I'm going fishing tomorrow. i will report on what happens and complete technique.

First bass on a frog :)
Nice! I am still 0-3 on my frog outings. Whenever bass strike, it scares the hell out of me, then I jerk the bait away. Gotta work on that.

My Possible New Boat
thanks guys, but I am not sure the boats on ebay or craig's are reliable. I was going to bass pro shops to take a look at it. The problem with ordering online is you may never know what you are getting. This is one of my biggest investments and I want to make it count.

My Possible New Boat
I am going to bass pro tomorrow to look at the sea eagle 8 :D :D. It is $450 and I am thinking of matching it with a trolling motor. I was looking into the pond prowler 30/30. It is reasonably priced and has gotten some great reviews. I have been stuck shore fishing my whole life and would love to actually get on the water. I will not be using the boat as much as anyone else as I still am in school. But I would love to have the option of using it. I feel that my catch rate will highly increase. What do you guys think? Suggestions are appreciated! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Guaranteed To Catch Bass
I dont know why but I have never caught fish on a senko before. I have caught them on almost all of my soft plastics. I understand the patience lesson, but with senkos i do not know why i never get bit. I always fish them near weedline and other structures. I have just dont know why.

Rod Tip Problem
I went fishing yesterday and had a great outing. When I cam home I unloaded the truck and went to the back to get my rods out. I was pulling my baitcaster out when the door closed and cleanly cut the rod tip off. I do not want to buy a new rod. I saw at walmart that they have rod tip replacement tips. It was my tourney special setup and my first baitcaster. Do they affect the action of your baits or are they not worth getting at all ans should I just get a new rod?
