Getting Better
Glad that your getting better... but seriously... I live in Louisiana too and anyone can tell you that the best thing to do on a cypress lake like that would be to grab a 7-9 inch worm with a 1/4 oz. weight or a 3/8 oz. jig and flip them around those cypress trees. Some days it is slowere than others but that's where the real monsters are. Just a little word of advice...

Repainting Old Wooden Baits (Help)
I found some of my dad's old wooden Bossa B's. I think I'm going to repaint them and put new hooks. Anyone have any information on the best paint to use on old wooden baits, or any information that would be helpful?

How Bout Them Saints?!?
I know I can't say much as far as the luck that the Saints have ever had but I believe they have the potential to go all the way this year. Woooo GO SAINTS!

WORLD SERIES
GO PHILLEYS! and GO CHASE UTLEY! I don't think anyone, even a yankees fan can say that Chase is not a bad S.O.B. with a baseball bat. He will break the record for most homerun hits before it's all said and done.

Paranormal Activity
I went to see it with a bunch of friends and my girlfriend. She liked to have squeezed my arm in half; I had a blue and purple mark for 5 or 6 days afterwards. Anyway I loved it, and I'm like you.... it takes alot for me to get scared by a movie but I do believe in the poltergiest/ghost stuff. When I went to bed or should I say when I finally fell asleep about 1 in the morning i was awakened about 2 or 2:15 by some terrible noises going on in my house. I almost wigged out when I heard them. I ran in the living room to find my garbage can knocked over and my step dad on the porch shooting coons out of the tree. You see the coons had been getting into our garbage so we set motion detectors outside to let us know when they were there. My dog had ran inside, scared of the gunshots and knocked over the garbage can. It was crazy! All in all I thought it was a good movie and a must see, if you like scary movies.

Lol maybe this 32251 guy is the homeless guy that got arrested. Maybe they have computers in prison? Anyway... even though I agree with your stands on the immigration issue that question was completely irrelevent to the story.

Yall ever
Yea there is a bayou on a local lake called Jumping By. There have been many days that people have hit it just right and caught unbeleivable stringers of fish but most days you can go and fish till your arm falls off and not get a bite. I guess it's just one of those big fish places where you always want to stop and see if there biting on tournament day after you have your five fish in the boat.

cold rain/muddy water
Another thing no one has mentioned is finding runouts. Culberts, beaver damns, overfilled levees, etc. with running water. I'd head way up the creeks and bayous around here to find a run out if there is current in the water. The mouths of creeks are good also if the creek has moderate current but not too heavy. Depending on where you are fishing I'd throw a white pearl crank bait but reel it very slow. If the water is extremely higher than normal I'd be trying to find some newer areas way back in the brush or cover that you are fishing. (again I don't know what it's like where you are) Maybe try a big spinner bait half oz. with larger than normal blades (silver). CHARTREAUS ( if I spelled that right) I can't stress that enough. If these don't get you bit I'd go with what the other guys are saying by using dark black colored plastics and jigs. Try a Black and Red tube fish it slow and deep around trees and ,if you have them, Rocks are good. And again I definately agree with finding the warmest water if the runouts don't work for you. Good Luck
