  1. Wow that thing is wicked....
  2. Ask him what he thinks the best way for young anglers, who have high expectations in bassfishing, to reach their ultimate goal of becoming pro. Oh yea...me and my parents are going to the classic too and I was wondering if I could meet some of you guys in person. Is there going to be a bassresource area set up at the exbow or is their another way to meet you guys?
  3. Welcome! and glad to see another louisianian. If you need any advice at all just send me a message or something
  4. Welcome to the family...
  5. Wow dude, those are awsome, I wish I could do that....
  6. I know that once it begins to get warmer and the snow melts in the ohio valley and along the Mississippi the rivers will begin to overflow into the Lake Systems around here causing ALOT of flooding. In 1972 there was an extreme high water here that flooded people out of there homes. The last big highwater that we had that was a back water was in 1992, the year I was born which missed the 1972 flood by about 3 feet. Due to the excessive rainfall since October of last year, the Mississppi is around 6 feet higher than it was in the winter of 1971 and 1972. Once the snow melt begins the rivers dump millions of fish into our lakes which cause for a good crop when the water goes down. The only way to catch them in the Highwater is to get you a nice, small aluminum boats and run dem down the flooded roadways and just search for them, which is difficult. This will probably be terrible for spring fishing, but when it goes down, I will be waiting. Although the river is so high already, we have alot more innovation in locks and dams, so we will see how high the water will get this year. The only time that I can say I have seen people flooded out of there homes here was when we received 20 inches of rain overnight in Hurricane Gustav two summers ago, but this was only flash flood water, backwater creeps up slowly and stays flooded for alot longer. So I guess wish us luck down here :-/
  7. Not to be a pain in the rear, but is it possible that Kurita's fish could have been caught during the spawn and been full of eggs. Also, although I haven't researched much, couldn't Perry's fish have been caught in the Mid summer time or postspawn causing it to weigh less than average for its length. All I am saying is that all of us, if we fish alot, have caught several fish that we could swear up and down it reached 5,6, maybe even 7 lbs but when we actually weighed it, it never reached our expectations. I'm not saying that George Perry didn't fool everyone, all I'm saying is that, in the bass fishing world, no one will ever know everything there is to know about bass fishing because it is so complex and we should always expect the unnexpected and believe the unbelievable.
  8. If you look up the world record on BASS then it shows that the Japan fish surpassed George Perry's
  9. I'm not sure if this thread was started because you are an avid Colts fan and are against the Saints but for all the ones that are... and love Peyton Manning, Wouldn't this thread be a direct insult to Manning to say that he doesn't have enough integrity to turn down a payout. Anyone that knows Peyton, Even though I am a Saints fan, agrees that he is one of the best and is not going to throw the game away for money because he takes pride in what he does.
  10. Wooo hoooo! Dat's Us! Where are all you colts raving fans now?

  20. Im just ready for the Saints to win so I can get on here and read about all the lame excuses for why Indianapolis should have won. Either way I am a huge saints fan even when they weren't winners but I do agree that their were some *** calls that were in our favor but that last interception thrown by Favre was definately his mistake and now the Vikings are paying for it.
  21. After my first trip of the year I decided to take another trip down to the same lakes. After about 30 minutes without a bite we figured out the pattern, which was point hopping. Isolated Cypress trees on each point had a fish or two around them. This pattern is very unusual for this time of year since everything that I have read from Catt and some of the other "Big Timers" on the site. I don't understand why these fish weren't in the backs of the coves in the warmer more shallow water. Instead they were in suspended about two to three foot on points.???? Any clue? Any way here is the picture from the second trip of the year and I am proud of my buddy for catching this fish. Again... I had no scales but she was a solid 5lbs if not a little heavier.
  22. Either way we can argue about it all day but the Champions are on there way to Miami.
  23. LOL Well I bet your old buddy Manning is nervous after wacthing them gold helmets rock Favre's world tonight. ~WHO DAT?~
