  1. Awesome, always looking for new BBQ sauce to try. Sweet Baby Rays is good stuff, I also like some stuff called Que Pit not sure if it is regional or national. Will order some of that Gates stuff soon.
  2. You can use a digital food scale from Target or Walmart.
  3. http://www.***.com/mailings/09052015offmailer.html Also when browsing around I noticed that they have 7' Avid MH rods for $129, while almost all the other Avids are quite a bit more. Any thoughts on why that particular one is so cheap?
  4. All I have heard is keep it cool or else !!!!! I asked the same question on a different thread and never got an answer. cant keep it in the boat, cant bring it in your house. WHERE can i keep it at my house? Sounds to me like you just came up with a fantastic reason to by a mini fridge for the garage.
  5. I put a pencil through the spool. Then I put two 2x4's on either side of the spool with the pencil at the back end of the 2x4's. This keeps the spool upright and stops if from rolling across the floor to me. Works pretty well, but I do like the thought of those spooling boxes. Seems those would work nicely for storage and for spooling reels.
  6. I don't store mine in my vehicle, but this is the solution I use for travel: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1240496949/6#6 I just ran a bungee cord across the rear seat clothing hooks and another across the back hatch hooks.
  7. Karma for removing the "All" button? ;D
  8. For MN: If you catch a fish that you think could be a record, follow these steps: * Weigh the fish on a state-certified scale (found at most bait shops and butcher shops), witnessed by two observers. * Take the fish to a DNR fisheries office for positive identification and a state record fish application. * Complete the State Record Fish submission form Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to download this file. and send it along with a clear, full-length photo of your fish to the address listed on the form. * Learn about becoming a Master Angler. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/fishing/staterecords.html
  9. There is some good information in this thread: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1241629263/0

  11. A 17 year old died today in our fishing opener. He was out fishing with two of his friends. They swam to shore, he didn't make it. None of them were wearing life jackets.
  12. I didn't get to see it tonight, but it is a great series. mmmmmmm Uma Thurman
  13. No kidding. Chris, you need to write a book.
  14. I just don't get it. The worse the news, the higher our stock seems to go. We have to get a pullback at some point here.
  15. I ride the bus from the suburbs to downtown Minneapolis. People frequently will ride their bike to the transit station, ride the bus downtown, then get back on their bike and ride to their office.
  16. I work for one of these banks. My 401k was just starting to rebound, and now this.
  17. I sent them an email. We will see if they respond.
  18. That is kind of what I thought. Thanks.
  19. I don't tournament fish and I don't really follow tournament fishing, so please pardon my questions. What determines the bait that "wins" a tournament. Do these anglers only use one type of lure all weekend? If they use more than one type, do they know exactly which fish was caught on which lure? If they do use more than one lure, which one gets credit for the win (most fish caught on said lure, biggest fish on a lure, last fish caught)? Thanks
  20. I'm a big fan of butterflies too.
  21. The only place I could find it in my local Gander was on the clearance rack. I got three spools for $3.50 each on closeout.

If you do decide to go with St. Croix and have a Gander Mountain near you, they currently have 25% off all St. Croix rods.
