Color I can agree with, but lure selection? IMO that is very important. If your fishing 30' of water and the fish are suspending at 15' to 19', are you going to throw a topwater or a 6' diving crank? Or are you going to throw a crank that will get down to where the fish are? :-?

Look for spots that drop from, let's say 7' to 20', then throw out marker bouys and find the length and width of the drop off. Also if you have a topo look at creek channels, like where 2 creeks join together. Just try to find humps,ridges, and drop offs.

Thinking of buying JJ's magic. I know all the good and the bad of JJ's, and I still want some. But one thing is stopping me. Where to store it at home. I keep most of my fishing gear in my garage, and it gets hot in there. I have also read to not keep it in your house. The warden (wife) will not let me keep fish attractant in the fridge. So, where do you guys store it so it won't stink everything up? Can I keep it at room temp in my house after it has been opened?

While I agree the Academy website sucks and I wish they had more on there. I know they would make a lot more money if they did internet sales. But even though it is my main purpose for going there ( besides good prices on my Bridgestone golf balls) I don't think they think fishing is the main thing they sale. You have to think how much clothing,golf, football,baseball, hunting stuff they sale. They are in fact a sporting goods store, and a really good one at that. I do wish they did internet sales though, that way all of these guys could get H2O baits.

I fish the Tx and C rig in some pretty heavy grass. I really don't catch a lot of grass though. Are you catching them on the bait? or on the weight of your c rig? If on the bait itself you need to do a hook check. Don't expose the hook tip, skin hook. If it catches on the weight, well that is something that can't be helped. As far as shakey head goes, I no longer throw them because of all the grass that grows in Toledo Bend and Rayburn. The jighead just catches so much grass it gets frustrating to me.

I am not saying yes, but I am a process operator at an LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) facility in Sabine Pass. Do I qualify? Also I fish 12 rods, and bring 1 big tackle bag(hard baits) and a duffle bag (plastics)would that be too many for your boat?Also what are entry fees?

When it comes to H2O branded stuff, It would be better to stick with the the lures.

Glow is basically white, but at night you hold it to light and it glows

What tourney is this?

A guy I work with just gave me 2 packs of these. They are glow, and I only use glow in saltwater. Is glow any good in fresh? The bag says they are from Lake Powell campground in Page Az. How old are these? I though GYCB were made in Tx. I am not a big Yamamoto user so I don't know.

It is mostley a southern chain I believe. I think sports authority is what ya'll get up north. That and dick's is all I could find in the Norfolk Va Beach area when I lived there. I am glad to be back in Tx I love my Academy stores.

My thing is just going to Academy and buying. I try not to order on line if possible

The jerks are good quality and paint is good. VMC hooks but from the ones I have they don't suspend like my x raps. All of mine actually do float. Not fast, but they do rise. But they are a good bait at an awsome price, worth the money. The shallow cranks are great too. They make one of my favorite topwater walk the dog baits. And the jointed swimbaits are killer too. But as mentioned above STAY AWAY FROM THE LINE. It is pure garbage. But every other H2O product I have used, I have loved.
