  1. Where is fishfordollars?
  2. Have any of you guys ever done a "dieing minnow" type paint job? Like on a suspending jerkbait? Where the paintjob is upside down? Would that make any sense? I would like to see one if ya'll do.
  3. You could look at that new Ruger LCR or LCP. Both are decent firearms. I've sold a ton of them. My buddy just picked one up the other day. I have a question about Ruger. I have held a couple and they seem a bit loose. Like when you shake them it sounds like loose parts are inside. Is this normal? I stopped looking after noticing this on the 3 different models.Clips were out on all three. I don't know if that makes a difference.
  4. This http://www.americanrodsmiths.com/Products/MagStrikePredator/tabid/148/Default.aspx I also like the Airrus Copperhead
  5. Not bad for your first setup. Both of those choices are really good. I am no Shimano fan by any means, but the citica is a good reel. You should be happy with them.
  6. I use this. http://www.cabelas.com/p-0043343115922a.shtml It reduces line memory, improves casting, and prolongs life of line.
  7. Gamakatsu 5/0 or 6/0 are what I use. No problems yet Also don't think Junebug won't catch at night. Because I promise it will.
  8. Wow, I just wanted some recomendations on small pistols. Like the Walther .380, Bersa thunder Ultra compact 9,Bersa .380,that size. I already own a 1911, a Sig p226,A S&W sigma 40. I want to get something for her small frame. She's only 5'3. She has little hands so I don't know if I want a high cap magazine. A single stack clip should be fine. 7 to 9 shots. That's why I am leaning towards the .380
  9. Dude, you just opened a can of worms.
  10. You can pretty much catch a catfish on anything that smells. Liver, chunks of Ivory soap, stinky dough baits, cut bait. Get a weight and treble hook and cast.
  11. I can't speak on chatterbaits. But the other day I saw pictures of an 11lb that was pulled out of lake Fork on one. I do swim regular jigs though. Just a Stanley jig but I use the Stanley Ribbit high floater frog (slightly modified)as the trailer. Those frog legs kick pretty good and IMO make a wonderful trailer for that method.
  12. Cool, welcome to your new addiction.
  13. Does anyone on here rember that band from the 90's? It was in the whole "grunge era" of rock.I think they were from Kansas. They had a good album called Dragline and I loved it. I can't find it or hardly any of there songs. If anyone knows where I can get the whole album let me know.
  14. Wow, I just looked up both of the fish I suggested. I was told wrong. The fish we catch look a lot like that, but at a young age I was told they were dogfish. Sorry for the miss information.
  15. If anyone in my family is getting a Kimber it's going to be me. Those and Wilson Combat are 2 of my favorites. I forgot to mention, I only want to spend around $500 + or - $50.
  16. My wife said she wants a pistol. She has never shot any of mine, and is afraid because my smallest is a 40 s&w. She has all of these theories about the govt and marshall law coming soon, so she decided to get one. should I get her a .380 or a compact 9mm? I am thinking a Walther .380, any suggestions? No revolvers please. I can't stand revolvers
  17. I can't believe you just did a pistol thread. I just signed on to do one.
  18. Every one of those chinese buffets around here tastes exactly the same.
  19. what's the size limits where you are? Ours is 20 to 28 inches. you can keep 1 over 28 but it has to be tagged and a limit of 3 fish.
  20. It sounds like what we call a rockfish or dogfish. If it's the same thing, they have a poisinous spine on the dorsal fin and can crawl on land with the two side fins. They are ugly and they croak too.
  21. What's with the ready to sprint stance in the second pic? Nice fish in the first one.
  22. Anyone use these? Our academy had them on sale for $.88 per pkg. I bought 10 pkgs. 5 4/0 and 5 3/0 They seem to be pretty good. They look nice a smooth with my SK zero's on them. At that price I couldn't pass them up.
  23. I find it a bit silly to paint weights. IMO the fish could care less if the weight matches the lure color. Maybe hit the tacklemaking section up for this.
  24. They did something similar for me a few years ago. I ordered 2 Eagle Claw 2 piece surf rods. 1 was fine the 2nd had an eye that was bent down. The lady said keep it we will send another. It arrived and a different eye was laying down. The lady apologized again and sent another. So now I have 4 surf rods for the price of 2. BTW the eyes were very easily bent right back into place, like new.
