What ever happened to one of my favorite colors sour grape? I can hardly find it anywhere? I have very few Gene larew salty hawg craws left in that color. It was a good color for zoom too. Our academy used to have a ton of things in sour grape. What gives?

I did 3 deployments in the N. Arabian gulf. My ship USS Ponce actually dropped off the first marines in that war and did minesweeping countermeasures. We had RPG's shot at us when we were pulling into Jordan. Spent a lot of time off the coast of Iraq and kuwait. A lot of time in Bahrain. Anyway, did they mention anything about family seperation pay? What about tax free zones? Would I do it again? No chance.

Now I know you did not say you wish death and tragedy. But after the last storms we have had around here, I am personally sick of them. Like I said in my first post on this thread, My mother lost EVERYTHING. Baby pictures of me and my sis,cars, her home,birth certificates, she had like 7 ft of water,mud and snakes come into her house. I can fully understand that you need to make more money. I totally understand that. But from now on can you please think before you post? I apologize if I came off as harsh. But after what I have seen here latley, These storms have screwed up a lot of peoples lives. A lot of people that are close to me. We had a small one a while back. So small ya'll probably did not even hear about it in Fl. Humberto was a small hurricane it did very little damage to anything. BUT, it took the life of a close friends grandfather. He was the only person that died in that storm. Once again I apologize for seeming harsh or bitter, but I don't want ANY named storm to make landfall anywhere.Big or small.

I feel the same way, I worked in the aluminum construction industry (screen rooms and hurricane shutters) for 4 solid years and worked my way up into a respected position in the company I was in, however with the lack of hurricanes, coupled with the poor economy, the company I worked for shut down, and now I'm changing oil and tires at walmart, for scarcely more than minimum wage. if a good solid cat 2 storm came through, it would completely jump start that industry again and I'd be back to making a decent living. However, I hate saying that I want storms to come ,because I know how horrible it can be, and we experienced it in 2004, when 4 storms hit Florida. I just want to see a few minimal storms come through, knock down some screen rooms, and scare some more people into upgrading their protection, then I'd be back to work Now tht's just plain selfish. You obviously have seen what tradgedy and sorrow hurricanes bring to families. With death a loss of property. And you still want to wish storms upon people so you can make money?Even if it is just a little storm, death can still happen.

Our local Academy's only carry the Tiki anaconda,tiki sticks and tiki moko lizards. I have always had to order my lobsters.

I don't tourney fish, but if I did, I could not see myself doing anything different. I pull to a spot,analyze the situation,structure,surroundings(boat traffic),wind,water temps,depth. Throw all 12 of my rods 10 to 15 times each and if no bites, move to the next spot.

That's different than the way it's done around here. Here you pay a yearly fee for a lease. with say 6 other guys. There are stands in different plots or sections of this piece of land or property. You go there a few months prior to season and start loading the auto feeders with corn. There is no walking around. just set up a game camera at your feeder and see what's been around.

Yes, I did read it. And I fully understand that you don't do it for the thrill. I was just wondering in general what happened to the thrill of it? Because a ton of guys I know hunt the same way you do. It is just not for me. I personally don't need the deer meat. And in my opinion I do not agree with your and other peoples methods of hunting deer. I would do it for the thrill (venison is the bonus). I would really enjoy stalking around the woods, looking for scrapes using calls and tracking.Using a bow. Hunting. Not sitting on my a** in a chair waiting for deer to walk up. To me any other way seems ridiculous

Well, you do what you do. I personally could not find any enjoyment out of shooting a deer from a recliner. Whatever happened to the thrill of a hunt? Why not venture out and actually hunt? Like with a recurve bow. BTW there is a big difference in a deer feeder dinnerbell deer and finding fish on a depth finder. Just because you see them on a depth finder does not mean you will catch them. If your deer is at the feeder it's pretty much a sure thing.

Are you actually in Conroe? If so go try to wet a line in Lake Conroe. They have pulled four sharelunker fish out of there this year.

Honestly you need to be deeper. I rarely find a fish in water that is shallow with a 90 deg water temp. I don't know the water temps where you fish, but last sunday all of the coves and shallows I was in the water temps were from 88 to 90 degs. When I got out deeper I found 82 degs. And then I found fish. I am usually off the water at 1:00 pm though.

I could do without another storm for a while. Rita and especially Ike Destroyed our neighboring towns. Bridge City Tx and Sabine Pass Tx got the worst of it. In Sabine Pass Rita took out the school and Fire station. Extreme home makeover came and totally rebuilt both. Then Ike came along and wipped them out again. As for Bridge City, my mother lost everything she had. her home, vehicles, horses,everything. She did not evacuate(believe me I begged her to). A lot of the guys I work with lost everything too. They were up in there attics trying to escape the incoming water. Along with the snakes and gators that came rolling in with the rush of water. The fireman are still working out of a trailer. For any town or city that gets hit, they will be in my prayers always.

I'm sure I will ruffle a few feathers with this one. Are you a "hunter" like stalking deer? Tracking and walking, looking for scrapes and such? If so cool. The very last deer I killed I said to myself what am I doing. I am sitting in a box, with slits cut out from all side watching a feeder. A feeder with a set timer on it. The deer after a while get used to the times that the feeder spins and slings corn. So basically it's like a dinner bell. Along comes the deer and BOOM. I personally find no sport in that. After that I have never hunted again. I have all respect for people that actually hunt them. But as for sitting in a deerblind and waiting on that dinner bell to go off, it's not for me. Now remember it's just my opinion.

I do expect to see either Florida or LSU in the Big Game. Hell they certainly don't have any competition to stop them.

If you like the E21 get it. I have fished them (not the gold) and I love them. I have yet to find a rod that beats the sensitivity. Honestly I got rid of mine because of the color. I just could not handle it. My dad still uses them he loves them too.
