  4. Try a lunker city 3/0 or 4/0 "texposer" hook. They are made for stickbaits.http://www.lunkercity.com/tph.html
  5. Catt that trap you listed I think you are talking about the "brown eye shad" Ann's tackle shop(Ann Thomasson-Wilson) in Jasper sales them. I have the 3/4 oz size. If I'm not mistaken that's the only place to get them. I was told Bill Lewis Co. makes them especially and only for Ann or her tackle shop. Also, I heard Dawson marine is closing the doors in both Jasper and Beaumont. I don't know what effect that will have on Ann's. As you probably already know her tackle shop is located in Dawson's.
  6. I have tried Boddingtons and it was the only beer that I have actually had to choke down to finish. It had that aspirator thing in the can. eeeew! Too cloudy. My buddy lives off of them.
  7. You guys need to jump on that. I have fished the shad swimbaits and they are awesome. I have not picked up the bluegill ones yet but now, I may have to for that price.
  8. To answer the question, No it would not be a waste. I have 4 of the same rods. 1 has a 7:1 2 have a 6:1 and 1 has a 5:1
  9. Why can't you get Yeungling anymore? I can't get it because it is not sold on the Tx Gulf coast. Bummer because I feel in love with it when I was stationed in Norflok,Va.
  10. I use a Daiwa Magforce as a senko reel. Until recently it started giving me problems. The twitching bar clicks up and down on retrieve by itself. It still works, but it's super annoying. Anyway I am thinking of getting either an orra sx, revo s, or another revo sx. I was just wondering what reels you guys use for senkos. I don't really need recommendations I just want to know the reels ya'll use.

  14. If bass got to be as big as some catfish and gar, nobody would swim in lakes. At least I wouldn't.
  15. Get a tube or hollow body lizard (gene larew biffle o lizard) or hollow body craw. Put alka seltzer in it. The fizzing drives them crazy. If that don't work then I have no idea.
  16. The only time I don't fish big baits is spawn. Last year I couldn't get a bedding bass to bite or even hang around to look at a big bait. 99% of my bedded bass were on senkos and beaver tail type baits. Baby brush hogs also.
  17. TOOL = cold and ugly and opiate Lamb of God = Vigil Tradgically Hip = 3 pistols and long time running The Black Keys = Just got to be DOWN = Stone the crow, Eyes of the south, and Bury me in smoke. Just to name a few. I could sit here for a week and name songs.
  18. Those allstar classics are good rods. I have a lot of them for redfish and spotted sea trout (specks). A medium/fast can handle a good size redfish with no problem. Anyone who is on a budget should really consider stocking up on these. For $25 it's hard to beat.
  19. When it's time for bass to key in on craws.
  20. All of the above with the exception of wacky. I never got a feel for or comfort zone doing that.
