BPS NITRO big bass rod. I was 1 mouse click away from getting one myself. but i dont fish swimbaits enough to justify having a whole r&r dedicated to swimbaits.

Why not elite? what's the difference, Personally i have never used elite. I use seige because it cast wonderfully,has near zero memory, and i have yet to break off. elite might be just as good, but i wouldnt know. Im gonna stick with seige.

I use a backpack for all of my plastics. but i dont store them in my boat. they stay in the house. it gets too hot outside for me to keep them out in the boat.

honestley a loooooong time ago when i used to have 1 reel for both salt and freshwater. sometimes i would dunk it in the lake(freshwater) if it started acting up. it seemed to help, but i cant recommend doing that now because i honestly dont know the affects that the water has on the reel.Did it fall to the bottom, in the mud or sand? that would probably have a negative affect. Reel Mechanic on here should be able to point you in the right direction.

I usually only fish topwaters at night,early morning, or evening. BUT i have found that a Super Spook Jr will catch them in the heat of the day and the coldest day of winter when you wouldnt think a topwater would work

yes, but IMO they just seem a little unbalanced, like the handle is too short for such a long rod. i would own a ton of them if it had a weight balancing system. Good rods though.

If anyone wants to meet and fish im all for it. Im going to launch at Humphry public boat launch. there is a Basschamps tourney the weekend prior but other than that there shouldnt be too much pressure, because thats the same weekend as the Mcdonalds big bass on Toledo Bend. Ill be there, let me know. Maybe someone can show me some new spots other than 5 fingers, farmers,and all of aiysh bayou.

All i can say is fish the new flooded stuff, if that dont work, find the old grass line before the water came up and try it. I would try spinnerbaits and senkos in the new stuff. in the 20' areas Norman dd22's and carolina rigged lizards. good luck

I went night fishing last night and busted em up. i used 4 baits. a black pop r,a black/red single colorado spinnerbait with a huge uncle josh pork frog,Junebug big bite baits trick stick,and a 8" blk/blue c rigged lizard. dont forget your scents. i use anise shad by kick n bass.

Yes they are!!! believe it or not a lot of rods are made in the U.S. I know of some companies that have china make some of the dept store rods(Allstar classic at academy) But Allstar makes some topnotch rods. Castaway does the same thing, only SOME are made in china.

I will ALWAYS catch something on a topwater. my next 2 strengths are suspended jerks and plastics of any type. I am also a very very accurate caster. i learned accuracy by fishin narrow creeks.I also have infinite patience when it comes to fishing. I will also dissect and stump or grass line when other people will move spots. I am very confident in pretty much my whole fishing arsenal (with a few exeptions)

I may not make any sense with this but oh well. Get a rat l trap red zone. its a suspending rat l trap. you can fish it slower. Maybe they were short striking. By using a trap that suspends you can stop and go retieve and give them a better shot at it.
