  1. Both have a place in my tackle box. i preffer senko knock offs to the real deal. But the slug go has a special place in my heart. IMO i would compare the slug go and the fluke or bass assasin not the senko. All catch fish though. i use both in different situatuions. shallow and deeper. senko has a faster ROF(rate of fall)
  2. Does anyone else on here do it? I DO and i love it. Just wondering. I have an 02 Sea Chaser 175 RG. Awsome for big lake bass fishing. I havent gotten wet yet.
  3. I have only looked at my local Academy and Gander Mtn. I cant find any. Do they still make them. I havent looked on the web yet.
  4. Let me just say i am not a fan of anything Berkley. So gulp i will not use. but i did notice the difference in colors between the 2 baits. the gulp in watermalon w/red and black looks like a totally different color than the same color in senko. maybe they were keying in on the gulp color more. to me the gulp is a much lighter color. or maybe they liked the fish food or whatever that stuff is, i dont know.but senko is a better bait IMO.
  5. X rap,Rogue,Thunderstick,Bomber Long A. H2O express Jerk Shad. More expensive LC pointer and i have a buddy who is a SPRO Mcstick freak. My personal favorite is the X rap.
  6. Black,Black/blue,Junebug,Junebug/Chart.senkos,8"+ lizards.10"+worms.Single colorado blade spinnerbaits.
  7. the only thing on a brush hog that i break is the front little arms. i break the bottom free from the body that way the top is still attatched and has arm action.
  8. I dont know how this happened to me, but it did. I went fishing on Toledo Bend in Dec 08. we were pretty much done fishing and i grabbed my topwater rig(dont even know why i brought one) and tossed my spook. about the 3rd cast i caught about a 2lbr. May not seem strange, but it was 27 degrees outside and the water temp was cold to. thats COLD for southeast Tx.So from now on I dont care how cold it is, I will ALWAYS try a topwater for at least a few minutes.
  9. I use them all year, from Dec-Dec
  10. All of the brush hogs,Grande Bass Mutants,Big Bite Baits Yo Mamma(beaver style) and BBB Kreit Kreature, Gambler Ugly Otter,And last but not least the ones that i make in my garage.
  11. IMO plastics.and if they dont work, IF possible, bounce things off the stumps. to try to get reaction strikes. i will pick timber to pieces with about 3 or 4 different things.
  12. My biggest weak point is deep crankin.I rarely catch them when they are suspending in 10'-17'. My 2nd biggest weak point is the jig.I can catch grass all day on a jig, but who wants to put a 10lb clump of grass on the wall? I definately need help in those two areas.
  13. 2 of my favorites xr75 rayburn red and xr50 foxy shad
  14. OK thats 3 different answers. Now, which one is the truth????? :-?
  15. IMO i dont think fish give a ***t about what the temp is in the air. To me its all about the water temp. But if im in doubt and i think the fish were affected i would throw 3 baits. A rat l trap,an x rap , or a senko. One of those should catch a fish no matter the temp outside.
  16. Well i feel stupid about the carolina rig thing then. but was told correct on the wacky worm thing. thank you catt
  17. Does anyone know the origins of where wacky worm fishing got started? We know where Tx rig and Carolina rig got started. DUH!!! I was told something but i dont know how true it is. I was told it was started on Toledo Bend. now dont quote me on this, its just what i was told. Can anyone give me some info on the truth?
  18. Like them all because they are great fisherman. Hate them all because im not on the same level.
  19. how so, a t rigged paca craw with a parasite weight does the same exact thing that a jig does. i punch them through grass, and also flip docks with them. they may look different, but other than that i fish them just like i do a jig and IMO they outfish the jig. Maybe you dont know what a parasite weight is, basically it is a weight that attaches to the hook that prevents the weight from sliding up and down the line.
  20. To me confidence is everything. My weakest point in fishing is a jig. I have absolutley NO confidence in a jig. my parasite weight and craws and creatures are a total confidence thing for me. they do the same thing as the jig. I have found if i have no confidence with something i aint gonna catch ***t. i have thrown a jig a lot and it has NEVER produced quality fish for me.
  21. i have never had good luck with them either.i always catch a ton of grass. the weed guards on the hook are great but i catch too much grass on the line and knot. but i use a parasite wight and a tx rigged paca craw or beaver style bait that does the same thing and is more weedless.
  22. I look at these every time i go to academy. but i always buy stanley or booyah. are they any good?
  23. can anyone give price range for wraps for a 17'5" boat. just a range. its a bay boat or center console.
