  1. Well considering that I'm married. No I really don't care. I wear shorts, sleeveless shirt, a boonie hat with fishing patches all over it, and crocs. But if I was'nt married I might because on Rayburn there is a place called rattlesnake island and in summer there is always some good lookin gals hanging out there.
  2. Those have got to be some of the most pretty colored bass I've seen in a longtime.Beautiful
  3. DUDE, can you do threadfin shad and gizzard shad? Well, what all sizes are there? 4",6" or 8" If you make a 4" or 6" that look that good and swim that good. Let me know a price
  4. HOLY S@#*!!!!! That's awsome
  5. BTW Wright &McGill Makes a fine kevlar rod. My dad has one for specks and reds on the Tx gulf coast. it's pretty sweet.
  6. WOOOOO!!!! I finally heard someone other than myself say something good about American Rodsmiths.
  7. O.K. thanks guys
  8. I disagree. I don't have to catch a leviathan every time to be happy. The dinks are fun too. The sow belly's are just a bonus
  9. Don't know the nutritional side of it, but long ago when I used to eat them I always remember saying "d$#*" these are good.
  10. 2 Rods=Airrus Copperhead or Carrot stix Both around $150 retail. 3Reels=Revo SX,Revo S or Shimano Citica NEVERMIND :
  11. I hope it's not the swindle one. I really just saw that like a few weeks ago. on ESPN. Why would it still be getting coverage if it was 2 years old?
  12. What else do you need? Both of those company's are top notch IMO
  13. Reel Mech where you at??????
  14. Try all types of stuff. C-rigged lizards and creatures. Tx rigged lizards and BIG worms.Definatley Spinnerbaits, senkos,X raps. If your in a boat throw some cranks. All of these baits will work in these conditions. But like posted earlier, it wouldnt hurt to fish some cover. Try to find some drop offs if any. good luck
  15. Why do bass hit swimbaits?Or lipless cranks? I honestly do not know. Is it a reaction strike? IMO bass strike at the weakest easiest prey it can get. Because they are lazy and do not want to use a lot of energy to get a meal.Especially in the dog days of summer. I have seen bass swim with bluegill and sunfish a bunch of times. Why didn't they eat them? I think it's because none of them had an erratic movement and did not appear to be injured or dying. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong, but I can't come up with another reason.
  16. I guess about a month or so ago, a pro got into trouble for going to fast and too close to spectator boats. Does anyone recall this? I remember seeing it on tv but can't recall the guys name. He buzzed right in between 2 boats fast. like he was angry at them.I think he may have even gotten dq'd. I don't think it's the same situation as the Aaron Martens thread. Of course I didnt get the whole story. I just know what I saw on tv.
  17. What do you mean out of production? Carrot stix are out of production or just the one you want.
  18. I have not held one yet, but I can't wait to get my hands on one.
  19. Sounds like a job for an H&H double spinner to me. Also a strike king mini king.
  20. my words exactly. welcome to your new addiction, your in for a long ride and have tons of things to learn. I have been fishing for 25 years and still learn things everyday.
  21. I am no frog guy, I honestly have never had a good day with them. but when i do use them i use these hooks that have a weight on the front. I think they are made for frogs. It if they do land upside down let it sink for about a foot and give it a quick jerk or two that front weighted hook will flip it over and have it running right.
  22. I started a thread like this a few weeks ago. I was told that a bass has a memory of only 15 mins :-?. I can not agree. I think fish have a longer memory than that. If a fish eats a brush hog and everytime it does it gets it's lips ripped off it's going to remember that. IMO that's why a bait SLIGHTLY looses it's flair. Not that it won't still catch fish, but because the fish remember that when it bites that thing it goes for a ride in a boat. A few hours is more believable than what I heard.I may be wrong though. I guess there is no real true way to know unless your a fish. good luck, I hope you get some good answers.
  23. It's not for me, It's a gift for my dad. But I personally will throw my suspending DD22's more than my floaters. It's a mental thing. I like to think the longer it stay's in the strike zone the better chance I have at getting bit.But if I'm fishing a spot with a ton of logs and stumps I will fish a floater.
  24. I was just wondering what everyone will say. Please say on here what the bait is. Mine is a Smithwick Devils Horse.
  25. The way I look at it is, it can't hurt to try to match. But it also does'nt hurt to give them something they have never seen before. Me personally I go for the different approach more than the matching.
