  1. Get a leaning post. The one that the butt rest lays almost vertical and you lean your lower back up against it.
  2. I can agree with this statement. I preffer not to use jigs when most people do. Latley I have been using 1/2 and 3/4 oz parasite weights on paca craws to punch through the cover and that seems to work fine for me.
  3. Excuse my ignorance, but can someone please tell me how to post pictures on here. I got my wife to try the way she does them on myspace and it did not want to work on here. any help would be nice. Thanks in advance. :-?
  4. lol I was trying to picture that in my head for a while and then I scrolled down...Looks basically like a wacky rigged fluke? I've thought about doing something like that. Look into the Jackall crosstail shad for this rig method. Look on youtube at the jackall cover craw gliding demo. It is the cover craw ,flick shake, and cross tail shad demos.
  5. o'shaughnessy is obviously irish. That's the only difference ;D
  6. they will either be under topwater baits or a soft plastics under frogs
  7. It bothers me. It also bothers me when people say"Gamagatsu" I hate when people say gamagatsu to.
  8. I have 2 packs i will sell $25 a peice shipped I will send you some for $24.75 each.
  9. I would get my Lowrance. And I would beg for my Revo SX/American Rodsmith setup that I use today. I chose a R&R setup because a lot of the things I used back then I still use today (devils horse, torpedo, plastic worms).
  10. I have 2 things that are named. All of my X raps are named "ol reliable" and my boat is named "the other woman".
  11. I see a lot of extra room on that wall of plastics.
  12. I personally like the H&H double spins.
  13. Sure, plain casting is easy for just about everyone but being a talented caster is not. Watch any top pro on TV and they do some really amazing things. Amazing distance to the spot they want, with no splash to as much splash as they want. Mike Iaconelli in "Fishing on the Edge" talks about seven BASIC cast types that he uses. A flip, a pitch, an overhead, a sidearm roll, an overhand roll, a straight skip, and a pitch skip. A beginner fisherman isn't going to automatically know how to do these, let alone be good at them. Some people don't have an example to emulate other than watching a DVD or reading an article. Plus, for many it's not just about going out there and "doing it." For some people that don't fish full time it's about going out there and doing it efficiently. Why not take advantage of every helpful medium that you can? Personally, I'm looking for tips right now on skipping with a baitcaster. I've been getting a lot of backlashes. Backlashes are all part of the learning process. Especially skipping BC's. Good luck
  14. Buy some Big Bite Baits Fighting Frogs so you make compare them to the space monkey. Or BBB Kriet Kreatures
  15. I have, and was for about 30 seconds. But (most)lures are easily replaced.
  16. Technically W&M, but it really doesn't matter. It's the same thing. It's like the difference between Pflueger & Shakespeare. It's now two brand names within the same company. If I had to bet, I'd say these rods are going to be close to the Mojo rods in popularity. You'll see a lot more of them than you do the Skeet Reese reel. Well actually it does matter, and it's not the same thing. It was like my honda/acura reference. They are 2 different brands but honda owns acura. But acuras are much nicer. The same could apply in this situation. I don't think they are going to crank out a bunch of eagle claw rods and slap W&M Skeet Reese superduper ultra cool sticker on them. W&M makes some really good inshore saltwater rods. And they are nothing like the eagle claw rods you get a wal-mart in a $30 combo. Basically what I'm getting at is you are not getting an Eagle Claw. What you are getting is a W&M. Which happens to make pretty good rods.
  17. I don't see why you would need a dvd to teach this skill. Just get outside and pick a target. You can teach yourself EVERYTHING. I did. I learned accuracy by learning to cast a BC from a little alum boat and from the bank of a small creek. Under trees, in pockets, under this tree root into that hole. You can learn to flip and pitch in your yard. get a coffee mug or for a little bigger target a plant pot.Put it or them in different locations and figure it out. It's easy.
  18. 12 rigged out and ready to go with 1spare reel rigged with 12lb mono as an allaround reel.
  19. Black n blue single colorado blade spinnerbaits with a JUMBO uncle josh pork frog. And 10" to 12" Tx rigged or C rigged worms Junebug. And Tx rigged or C rigged 8" lizards or brush hogs. Black, black/blue,junebug,black/red. Also a BLACK pop r or zara spook.
  20. I can't comment on the berkley, I do not fish them. I love the fluke though. I also love the ol school bass assassin. But if I had to guess I would say it's a Personal preference. I always do fine with a 3/0 texposer hook or a 3/0 g lock worm gamakatsu.
  21. Is it Wright&Mcgill or Eagle claw? I realize the relation btween the two companies, but they are different. It's like a Honda/Acura or Nissan/Infinity. Am I wrong? W&M make some very good rods. It may not be a bad price for that rod actually.
  22. Yes and No. I think it's luck if you are able to locate a giant. And I think it's luck that it wants to bite what your throwing. I think it's skill to persuade the monster to bite. Sometimes you can throw your whole tackle box at a fish and not get a bite. No matter what you throw,or how you present it. If a fish don't want to bite, it won't. But that's if your sight fishing. If you don't know it's there, it is ALL luck just for locating it.
  23. no problems with mine
