  1. Rogues they are cheap, but they will always catch fish. Bandit cranks, stanley spinnerbaits, pop r's
  2. If they are the same as the sweet beaver,yo mama, eager beaver, and every other beaver style bait out there, yes they are good, and can be fished in a variety of different ways.
  3. Black with blue, chart,or purple. Brown with green, black, purple. Im sure there is a lot of line to use, I am not a big time jig person, I fish them very little but I have done fine with 20# mono. Braid is the best I believe.
  4. Get a Woodchopper, I believe it's made by Luhr Jensen. You may have to either adjust the front prop or just take it off. That thing sounds wicked going through the water. Or the good ol Devils Horse
  5. HOLY S*** that is the same one I have. I was told that a long time ago and still live by it today. HAHA ;D Oh almost forgot my lucky boonie hat. Everytime I catch a fish I wipe a dab of slime or blood from the fish on my hat.
  6. X2 on the Falcon
  7. So Catt I gave my gameplan. How would you attack this area?
  8. Best for price=Bandit,Rapala,Smithwick,Manns Overpriced=LuckyCraft,Megabass,IMA,Ricos Catches fisherman not fish IMHO= Stanley ribbits
  9. Yes, it is worth the money. The braking systen on the sx is much better. Im sure the s is good, but I would go for the sx
  10. I am not a Shimano fan by any means, but the Cardiff is a good reel.
  11. Yeah I know, it has just been bothering me for a while that they now run the lakecaster website and they really neglect it IMO.
  12. Thank you Snook, I apologize for the ignorance. I honestly thought he was talking about some really old okuma baitcaster . I really do not know anything about spinning reels or anything from Okuma. The metal loops that holds the string thing was not real clear to me. I read it numerous times and it just did not ring a bell.Sorry guys.
  13. Kick n Bass, Bang or YUM.Yum does not stay on as long though.
  14. Honestly when I go on Saturday I planned on turning my back on the back for the whole day. I am not bringing all of my rods. I am only bringing 4 rather than my regular 12. None of which will be fished shallow. except my topwater which I only planned on throwing for a very short time anyway.
  15. Perhaps you should try reading the original post before commenting in a thread... : Maybe I am just not understanding what is being stated here. What I got out of it is everytime he engages the button to cast, the spool freespins causing a backlash. Like maybe the brake is not tight enough. Please enlighten me on what I am not getting.
  16. I just do not think I could have a reel called a Pixy. And why not get another Steez or Zillion? Daiwa makes some good reels as you already know. Get a revo premier before the start making them ugly.
  17. Beaumont Enterprise has destroyed what used to be one of my favorite websites. You have to update more than once every 6 months. :-/I hope you are not a writer for them, because it is not very good anymore.
  18. OK, today weather.com says. Sat Hemphill Tx the forecast is scattered t storms 40% 94 degs E/NE wind at 4 mph. I wonder if I should drive 1.5 to 2 hours to fish for a morning, when it could be raining anyway. Hopefully weather.com is wrong like they usually are. But then again a little rain could cool down the water some and it might be worth the trip to fish in a little rain. From what I read. I should stay in 15ft of water + or - 3ft. I know plenty of places that deep in Six Mile/Willow Oak area.
  19. Academy H2O because they are the only hardbodied ones I have tried. Does a Huddleston Deluxe count? I know it's not a hard body but I fish and love those too.
  20. Take some line off or tighten down on your brake. My buddy has one of those U.S. reels baitcasters. He let me look at it , No weight on the end of the line, I push the button(engage to cast) and the spool just starts spinning. He did't have anything set on his reel yet.
  21. My pfleuger problem ended whe I threw it in Toledo Bend. Mine would free spin whenever I would catch some grass. Trying to just shake the grass off of the lures would cause it to freespin and birdsnest. Set the hook on a fish=birdsnest. Ridiculous. I'm sure when you spend $150 or more they make a top notch reel, but honestly I rarley spend more than $120. They will never get my money again.
  22. Mine was a Devils horse. I was not supposed to be throwing it. I was so young and they have 3 sets or trebles. I think I was about 5. I was so nervous I forgot to reel it in, I just walked backwards until it was on the bank. ;D
  23. Pitch,flip,Tx rig,C rig
  24. For the hollow body type I like the Bass Magic. For bigger soft bodied I fish Huddlestons. And for hard one's (I'm new at these) I fish the Academy H2O swimbaits.
  25. Hard my personal favorite is the x rap but there are a ton of really good ones. Soft Slug go
