Thanks Catt, that is exactly what I was looking for.

Trees and brush
How do trees and brush define the bottom? Do willows or cypress trees only grow from a certain type of bottom? For example sand or clay? Same question for what we call down here "buck brush" . Does it only grow from sand, clay, both or neither? What is a bass looking for when it chooses a spot to make a bed?

The color purple (grape)
Im talkin grape here not junebug. So I understand that purple is the most visible to fish, or it's last to disappear as the water gets deeper. I think. So what water clarity does this theory apply to? Is that for clear water, stained, or muddy?

Rayburn Info
Im going to Rayburn on the 24th or 25th. I will be fishing mostly from Farmers, Five Fingers,up to Coleman bay. I have not been to that lake in about a year. I was wondering about the water clarity, what depths have most fish been caught at, what colors are good for plastics (or is it still watermelon red?), Is it time to punch grass with jigs? What have most people been catching on? Lipless, c rigs, Deep cranks, Tx rigs? I bring 12 set ups so I have everything pretty much covered. Just any info would be helpfull. Jack this has your name all over it. Your the Rayburn guy, anyone else I appreciate it. Thanks. P.S. I will be throwing topwater in the morning, I have a ton of different topwater baits which has been the best. Also I don't throw ribbits.

bps tube dart
I use them with great success. I have the bama bug and wat/orange colors. So far I have caught more on these this year than any other bait I have thrown. The above post got it right about the tail flutter things. They do seem to stick together, but I don't think the fish care. I fish them with a 3/8 tungsten using a bobber stop to peg the weight. They are a great flippin bait.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Anybody have any info about the Indian creek, Buck creek area? I want to try the far south end and don't really know where to go, or what the lake is like in that part. Is it even worth a try?

old type lures ( Devil horse)
The Devils Horse was the first topwater I ever threw. I was about 5. It caught fish for me then and still does now. An awful lot of treble hooks for a 5 yr old.

Megabass type x frog
Ok, so I ordered my first expensive crazy ninja bait. The Megabass type x. Reading the package it says it can be twitched, slow cranked, or walk the dog. So if anyone out there has used ths bait, please let me know which is the best way to fish it. Thanks in advance. http://www.***.com/Megabass_Type_X/descpage-MBTX.html

Topwaters and wind
Which type if topwater is best for windy days? Walk the dog, prop baits or poppers?

Your fishing flaws
Since I bought a boat and fish 12 rods I have lost my patience for senko fishing. I used to bank fish and have infinite patience for this bait. Now with everything I bring I will cast 10-15 times then try something else. That seems to be my most obvious flaw. Loosing patience with slow plastics in general. what are you guys weak points or flaws in your fishing?

What's the deal with O.H. Ivie?
What's going on in that part of Texas? This lake has put 9 entries in the sharelunker program this year. 9 fish over 13 lbs in just a few months. Amazing.

Toledo Bend Style Buck Brush
I don't fish without having at least 2 rods set up for flippin buck brush. That don't count my rig for punching grass beds either. So far most of my fish this year have been on Bama Bug colored paca craws.

Reel reviews/opinions needed
I need opinions on 2 BPS reels. The carbonlite and the pro qualifier. I'm really needing to know which is good for casting smaller sized cranks (strike king series 3 and bandit 200-300 series) for example. If anyone has any expierience with either of the two please fill me in. Thanks.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
I am a little confused on why you would keep fish this time of year. Anyway, Catt I will be fishing six mile on fri and sat of this week. According to Accuweather.com the forecast for Hemphill is high 50's and low 60's all week and no rain. My question is how is the water clarity? Just want to know what spinnerbait to throw. Colorado or willow, white/chartruese or more natural shad colors. Thanks for the input.
-
Whats Your setup?
I don't really feel like listing all 12. The reels are all Revo's and Daiwa's. Various rods Falcon's, American Rodsmith's, Daiwa's. Rodsmiths being the majority.
-
What color do you use for...
I don't throw jigs, but I do use punch skirts and Gambler ko hangover skirts. For black and blue I like the Berkley chiggercraw, YUM wooly hawg tail, and Paca craw. For grn pump I use Lake Fork hyperfreaks 5", and Big Bite Baits yo mama and fighting frogs.
