  6. I've got the same problem at the lakes I fish. plastic containers , fishing line , plastic bags. I police the area's some of the time when it gets real bad. It's a shame because there are large dumpsters at most of the lakes I fish.
  7. Thanks for the input R.W. Your fishing knowledge and the willingness to share it is greatly appreciated by the rest of us.
  8. I love your color schemes. I'VE GOT SIX BAGS SO FAR.I'LL BE BUYING MORE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
  9. I want to apologize to CART7 for the question I asked . I didn't realize the question was out of line.
  10. Are you fishing pro tournaments ? Is that why you need such an expensive boat? Just curious.
  11. My DAD got me into fishing though his methods were a lot differant than mine are. He trot-lined and giged a lot. I figured there had to be an easier way , so I got myself some artificial lures and the rest is history.
  12. I HAVE BETTER LUCK ON LAKES UNDER 400 ACRES.

    WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. I'd go with the monark if its in good shape. The jon just isn't wide enough to put a deck on and be safe.
  15. LIPLESS CRANK BAIT.
  16. Not to change the thought process here , but if you are going to have three people , battery and all your fishing gear onboard your boat , be careful because you have definately over loaded your 12 footer. Just my 2 cents worth.
  17. Fishing large lakes without a boat is a sure way not to catch many bass. Stay with your smaller ponds and catch , catch , catch. If and when you can get a boat , then hit the larger lakes and catch , catch , catch. Just my two cents worth.
  18. My Lowes 1448 has a motor rating of 25 horse I believe.
  19. When I land a bigger fish like the one you mentioned and its hooked as good as the one you caught , I'll cut the barb from the hook and slide it on out. Less trauma for the fish.
  20. Try slow rolling a spinner bait with colorado blades or try a drop shot rig.
  21. I would call that an ambitious bass !
  22. Doesn't Bill Dance have a company that designs and builds lakes that are designed for bass fishing ?
  23. I've caught cat fish on spinners and cranks.
  24. Need some opinions. I've got a 14 ft. lowes semi-v john boat. I'm thinking about putting a floor and casting deck on it. Before I do this though , I am considering on having the inside of the boat Rhino lined to cut down on noise and help perserve the inside. Do you think it would be worth the money to do this? The boat is 6 years old and in great shape. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR OPINIONS.
  25. The two times you mentioned are excelliant times to fish. I have also caught many fish between the 10 am to 2 pm time slot. There are many variables that you have to consider, like weather , time of year, bait fish movement. I'm sure you will receive many more pointers from other's on the forum. GOOD LUCK!
