  1. Could just be the fact that its light tackle, and you cant set your drag heavy enough to drive home the hook. I would suggest getting heavier equipment. When im fishing frogs or such especially around cover i use braid, the zero stretch makes it easy to set the hook. ;D Tight lines
  2. What do you guys and gals suggest? I have a new pond im fishing, almost completly covered in water shield( similar to lily pads) Really shallow in parts, and really big bass. i have had luck with catching many smaller ones and a few medium ones. But i want to target the monsters. And this is the first time this pond has been fished in years. :-? :-? any suggestions?
  3. I use mustad or gammys 3/0 ewg hooks. They are the most basic imo and work well for most situations. and it depends on what you are going to fish with.
  4. Im about to buy flourocarbon line what is the best in your opinion?
  5. Has anyone tried it? is it worth the money and is it really near invisible?
  6. Usually ill just make a cast then let it sit for a few seconds and then bounce it off the bottom, working the rod tip up. IT always works for me and i can really fill the bait when im bouncing it so im always ready for a strike.
  7. I just bought this reel and want to know if i should take it back and get the revo s. Or should i just stick with the pro max. Input please. Is the pro max a good reel?
  8. Oh yeah, ugly skinny girls need lovin' too!!!!!! x3. I like fat girls the best!!!!! x4!
  9. I also dont have a boat but i still catch alot of bass, and it is post spawn where i fish and i have been able to catch them on soft plastics, ( senkos, power worms) and spinners
  10. how do you rig and fish a 4 1/2in finesse worm?
  11. Heck for the price im just going to stick to lead bullet weights ;D
  12. X2 did the exact same thing
  13. I have noticed the smell and it seems to help the fish want to stay on longer. Berkley baits are some of the best baits hands down
  14. ID say around 3-4 pounds or so. And it doesnt really look 23 inches
  15. Wow it looks awsome! ;D
  16. Im not worried about it till it happens, then i may get a little upset if i lose a brand new crankbait or spinner. But ive wadded into the water to get back a jitterbug p.s.( at the time i had caught about 8 fish in a little over 30 mins, and it was my only one so i crawled in got it and continued to fish) ;D
  17. Any one else try spin offs of senkos. I fish senkos alot and my bait only lasts around 2-3 fish. Any one else know of anything that lasts longer but still the quality of senkos?
  18. I always leave the baits in the bags they come in... Helps to keep them fresh and keeps dirt and other things away that may make the fish spit the bait out faster..
  19. Black jitterbug all im going to say... best bait for night fishing hands down...
  20. Today i got some zoom 4in finesse worms and strike king shakey head jig heads. The shakey heads have a very long spike and the finesse worm seem to be almost too small for the spike it rips somewhat. Any ideas should i try a bigger worm? or different way to rig? I caught a 15 in bass on anyway and it nearly swallowed the bait. any ideas? ;D Also what weight size do you recommened for that size worm
  21. Im about to buy a new spinnerbait and i want the best, what do you all recomend.
  22. nice bass... and sweet setup
  23. The rage tail shad is awsome but can get very expensive, they have a nasty habbit of getting their tails ripped off. And they usually last about 2-3 fish and sometimes only one. The rage tail toad is awsome and a bit more rugged. They both work great. And if your lucky may last a few bass and be worth the extra money. : ;D
