Info on a Champion 187?
One of my buddies had one for a while it was the smoothest ride of any boat I have ever rode in before or since. They make a great boat. Might be a little expensive for a 5 year old boat but there are not alot of Champions in my area to compare too.

Anyone else LOVE Berkley baits?
Always can count on a power worm 7" Green Pumpkin has won me more money than probably all my other baits combined.
-
fluoro leader
I always add a little glue to the knot also to help hold.

Cleaning Melting Plastics off Tackle Box
Denatured Alcohol will work in most instances.

anyone try Strike King 3X ElazTech Zero
Slower for sure but I started using the Zappu hook to speed them up.

Unusual catches on artificials?
I caught a watersnake on a fluke last year, and a couple of years ago I caught an alligator on a flipping tube. I wish I would have taken a picture of him he was about 4 ft long. I also caught a 35" northern pike on a 1lb smallmouth bringing him to the boat one year in Canada.

New rods for Skeet...
You know I am really surprised that he did not come out with a signature rod for Lucky Craft since they are in the rod making business.

Deeny Brauer Straight Shank Flipping Hooks
Use the Gamakatsu Superline Strait Shank Hook basically the same thing.

New Boat, Need batteries.
Deka's are very good batteries if you want to spend the money I have had great success with Optima's if you are inclined to spend that much.

Annoyed with recent online tackle transaction...
I too ordered some Football Shaky Head jigs from Gambler Baits they were on sale Reg 5.99 a package on sale for 3.99 a package I ordered 10 packages. They shipped me 2 and canceled the rest never bothered to let me know they were a discontinued item and no longer available plus they did not give me the sale price on the 2 they shipped they ended up costing me like $3.50 per jighead with the shipping really made me mad I tried to call like 5 times with no answer to the phone and sent an email that was never returned. I will never buy another Gambler product again all because someone could not take 1 minute to let me know that a product was not available.

You're either a Tackle Junky...or Not.
This is such a great post I too am as my wife says a tackleholic my garage has more baits than most tackle stores that you walk into not including the 15k worth in the boat and you know I just ordered a new rod and reel yesterday to go along with the 48 others I already have so yes I guess I am a tackle junkie but hey you have to spend it somewhere and there is alot of worse ways to spend it.

Fighting a swimbait fish
I started using the treble hook stinger too it has increased my hookups and landings to about 80% but I still do lose a few. But not near as many as on a rattletrap

Shakey head problems
You can trim the spike with a file if you want too. I use the zoom worms all the time but use a Spotsticker Baits shaky head never tried the strike kings.

Thank you Bomber/Pradco.
Great to hear about companies doing stuff like this, a few years ago when Terminator Spinnerbaits came out I had the finish flake of the head of a bait in about 10 minutes of fishing I wrote them a letter asking them about it and they sent me 6 brand new spinnerbaits great company.

trailering a boat a long distance
I haul my boat to Canada from TN every year and in addition the the above items make sure you have a jack and a lug wrench to fit your boat tires also every time you stop check your hubs to see how warm they are tighten down your boat cover if you are using one and make sure your tires are inflated.

Keeping Foam Healthy

Bass at night
Anything they will bite during the day. I just tend to use bigger lures and bigger line at night than the day. Very seldom use black though.

Smallmouth baits for extremely clear water ?
I fish Dale Hollow and it is hard to beat a Hair Jig there water clarity is close to the same and believe it or not yellow is one of the best colors. Check out www.punisherlures.com to see some great hair jigs made right here in TN by some great people.

Favorite shallow running crankbait 1-3 ft.
Lucky craft 1.5 and 2.5 rapala dt4
-
shaky head
Very subtle presentation when compared to a Texas rig usually smaller weights are involved and lighter lines, it is defiantly a numbers bait but will also catch big fish I fish a tournament every Wednesday night from 5.30 to 8.30 3 fish limit tournament we had the big string for the year last year with 11.93lbs all caught on a Sneed Products shaky head and worm.

Rapala DT Series Crankbaits
I have broke probably 6 of the Dt 4's mostly my fault but they do seem to be very fragile.
