  1. I have been using the X Tools since it came out and like it alot.
  2. I like the Berkley Gulp Minnows and 4" Zoom Lizard at night on a drop shot.
  3. Very nice I have been looking at the same boat, now if I can just get my wife on board for a new boat..................
  4. If you do not mind spending the extra money get one with a gps, I fish alot of offshore structure and it helps alot. You living in Florida, if you fish any of the big lakes down there you will use the gps alot if you will take the time to learn how. I know it has helped me many times on Toho and Kissimmee.
  5. Send them to Reel Mechanic he does a great job. ;D
  6. These are not very good sinkers, they are not hard, they are soft they can absorb scent. Just my .02
  7. That is a great paintjob
  8. It depends on how heavy a tube that I am dragging, and how deep of water I am fishing, the I start with about 8lb but have used as high as 15lb for 3/4oz heads in 30+ feet of water.
  9. That is insane. I cannot imagine culling almost 6lb smallmouth. I have fished some of the best smallmouth waters in North America over the last 10 years and about 26lbs is the best day I have ever had for 5 fish. 30 lbs is just awesome.
  10. I had a similar experience with plano. They have acquired the rights from Falcon to make the FTO boxes, I was having trouble with the latches breaking called them up to see if I could buy about a dozen of them to fix the broken ones and have 4 or 5 left over for spares. They said no problem and sent me 12 for free. I insisted on paying because they were older boxes before they owned them but they would not let me. This is a great company to do business with.
  11. Great stuff. Feels very similar to the Berkley 100% fluorocarbon to me. I have been using it since June at least 1 time a week. If you do any night fishing at all it is a great product to have.
  12. I have always used Telescopic flipping sticks and have had no issues with them. It is a personal preference in if you want them or not. They probably are not quite as sensitive as a one piece rod but I have never had an issue with sensitivity on one. Just my opinion
  13. If you can find it in your area get a Zinc Molybdate Primer best primer for rust that you can find. It is not cheap but a very very good primer. You will have to go to a paint store to get it more than likely.
  14. I cannot either right now, alot of times in the morning they work on the site so it is down. Give it an hour or so and it will be back up probably
  15. RW I have had some luck fishing the 4.5 and 5.5 Strike King swimbaits on Dale Hollow. I have not had a huge fish hit them yet but have had several in the 4.5 to 5.5lb range on them. It will be interesting to see if this fall if I can catch some bigger ones on them when the crankbait bite starts going. Are you fishing Pickwick?
  16. If you think the Bonehead's are good you should try the Tamiami's they are even lighter.
  17. Did it about 15 years ago with a jig, never fished them much before that now it is one of my favorite baits.
  18. Daiwa Alphas Ito on a Bcr852 Glx, Daiwa Alphas Type R on a Bcr802 Glx.
  19. Usually fish them on the bottom with a Zoom Fat Albert Twin Tail Grub. I use wild colors compared to most, Bright Blue, Bright Blue and Pink, Red, Yellow, and a solid Pink work best for me. But I use them almost always night fishing on Dale Hollow. Size wise it depends on the depth that I am fishing but I usually use 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz.
  20. Depends on what you want to use them for but of the two the Sol is my favorite since it is Orange.
  21. They are a very good rod for the money.
  22. True, but what fun is there in that. Shad raps for me, I used to use them all the time and I bet I have not thrown one in 2 or 3 years.
  23. Try some of the Suffix Elite in the mean time, very similar to original stren, but with a little less memory. You might even like it better.
