  1. Deer hunting and fishing in Southwest Georgia, I have seen Game Wardens in the woods and on the water, but never been ask for to show anything. At Deer Camp, the Game Warden ask he could put his bees in and near our camp site. We gave him our names and he said to give our wives his phone number to call during deer season if a emergency came up. 2 years later, one did, and he came to our camp site to get one of the husbands. Yes, he came to eat super and share stories/lies a few times for 3-4 years. The same can be said for the Federal Game wardens on Fort Benning. On the water, the game wardens seem to be more interested in safe boating, not those fishing.
  2. The parts list/exploded view is at http://www.quantumfishing.com/literature/TourEditionPT_partslist.pdf The User's Manual leaves a lot to be desired.
  3. Not uncommon to reel in a Channel Cat or Chain Pickerel when using spinners or crankbaits.
  4. I have used Power Pro for 3 years, on 8 Abu Garcia reels for bass and 6 catfish reels. I use the uni for all knots, never had a knot failure. Prior to my using braid, I always used a Palomar knot.
  5. I have an SX along with 4 4600C3 and 4 5500C3. I use the SX for lighter lures. If find the SX to be very smooth with a very good drag. It backlashes only when I hit the boat/motor/water casting, or when I do something stupid. It does take a while to adjust. Two different adjustments. When I first used it, I had a problem going from the SX to 4600 and back again. That was resolved after a couple of trips.
  6. I have found that if I let the Bass run until the line is tight, I get many more hookups. It is very hard to change from worm fishing to frog fishing, totaly different type of fishing. I find that frog and topwater are about the same.
  7. When I return from fishing, I clean the boat, gas up, reline reels that need it, make a note of what I need to byy. All that is required for the next trip is hook up the boat, load rods and tackle.
  8. Doug Hannon - The Bass Professor, sells snakes in a kit that look to be 18" + for 39.95
  9. I have some Mann's crankbaits that look a lot like these.

I have several of the Chatterbaits and use them from time to time. It seems when everything is right, it works well. For me this is not often. I have made many cast with a Chatterbait without even a bump, change to regular spinner and start catching fish. I do line the vibrations the Chatterbait gives off. One odd thing is that most fish I catch with the Chatterbait are right at the boat or close to the boat. I can not even guess at to why that is. I must admit, I will choose a regular spinner over a Chatterbait.
  11. I have a REVO SX. Was not thrilled with it with 30LB Power Pro on a 7' rod. Could not get within 10 feet of where I wanted to cast. I changed to 20LB Power Pro and a 6'6" rod. What a difference. I have 4600 and 5500 C3's on 6, 6.6, 7' and 7'6" rods and have no problem going from one rod size to another. I tried the SX with 20 LB on a 7' rod and had the same problem. I sure it is just me. If I did not like my 4600C3's so much, I would inverst in more SX's.
  12. I have Prower Pro on 7 baitcaters and Suffix braid on 1 baitcaster. I have used Power Pro for 3+ years and have found that backlashes occur when I try to cast too hard. All it takes with an SX, 4600C3, or 5500C3 is a flick of the wrist for long cast. I add 18" to 24" mono leader (Cajun Red or Stren). When I do get a backlash, they are normally very easy to get out, even ones where I hit the motor with the rod. I have found that I change line much less with braid than mono, which make up the cost of braid. After 6 month or so, I reverse out the braid (casting end tied to reel end), this adds to the life. I also use mono backing with about 75 yards of braid. I have had breakoffs with braid on rocks. You can feel the braid going over or around rocks or stumps. When I used mono, I changed line every month or so. Nicks and kinks. I have yet to use the Suffix braid fishing, but cast in the yard it seems compatible to Power Pro. JMHO
  13. I have used nothing but braid for 3 years. I keep the rod tip low, and sometime in the water. This keep the bass from jumping and throwing lures. Flint River Shoal bass are jumpers/lure throwers, the low rod tip works well for braid and mono. My sons use mono and have the same problem with jumping bass throwing lures.
  14. I use and catch bass on Jitterbugs, Silver Minnow spoons, and Lazy Ikes. I have not had much luck wit Hula Poppers.
