  1. You said the words rock and spots. Man I would be cranking that rock. Make sure you get that bait banging of the bottom! Also if you have walls I would be thinking about jerkbaits. Defenately fish the rocky points.
  2. [move]Merry Christmas[/move]
  3. My guess it had just received it's december credit card bill.
  4. And thanks for all you do LBH! Hey shouldn't you be in that brown truck by now? I need my........ Joking. Don't work to hard. Merry Christmas
  5. Hookem KU explained it well. We are all in winter right now but you can imagine the difference in water temps. between Texas ans say Minnesota. There is a huge amount of info here on water temps and their relationship to the cycles of bass. Do some searching and see how that relates to your area. One helpful thing in understanding seasons is to fish year around. Seeing the changes first hand helps alot. Remeber a lot of people are waiting for the spring because their water is hard. Good Luck!
  6. LBH that is pretty cool. Bassattack I let it stop like rattletrap said. Try not to get impatient. As a follow up I will often throw a 4" senko and keeping it up top, stopping and letting it flutter a little bit. There is few things as exciting as watching top water get slammed! Good luck.

    Welcome to the forum.
  8. My kids have the monkeys mini-me that follows them also. It is fun to watch them fill up their hand me down tackle boxes with baits they picked out. When they were babies I had a pacifier tied on a rod that I would pitch around and they would crawl after it. ;D ;D It's fun to see them fishing beside me now.
  9. KU layed it out for you. This site is an encyclopedia of bass fishing. Here's one more thing to add. Find a buddy to fish with. Chances are somebody you know used to bass fish or fishes now and you just don't know it. You'll have fun fishing with a freind and will be learning at the same time. Also if money is availible you could pick a local lake and charter a guide. You can watch what he does and ask questions as you go. Good luck and welcome to the site.
  10. George that was great. Seems like I dream about lunkers every night. Merry Christmas
  11. LMAO!!!!!! Raul what kind of fish are they?
  12. One of the reasons I enjoy winter fishing. Nobody out there but us die-hards.
  13. Peter has a good point. I know this because I have three boys. When I take them out I stop worrying about catching fish myself and spend my time helping them to catch fish. The look on a kids face is priceless. Besides I figure if I spend the time with them when they are young they will take me fishing when I'm old.
  14. LBH I'm sorry I told you about that and put that little monkey of temptation on your shoulder. I realize now he was speaking to you through me. Be very careful.
  15. Come on Raul show some love to the monkey.
  16. Pfunk thanks that was cool. CSI BASS
  17. I have a lowrance LMS-480 in the console and an X-51 in the bow. Probably will upgrade the bow next year.
  18. I don't think it's a spot. Look at how much space there is between the spiney dorsal fin and the soft dorsal. Even though they are layed down the spacing looks too big to me.
  19. Raul Thanks for taking the time to give us this.
  20. Matt thanks that was good.
  21. Roadwarrior it's official. Now you know what you have to beat.
