  1. Hookingem and I found a pattern yesterday. The fish were relating to a rock pile with a few scattered cinder blocks in deeper water. Tell-tale post spawn! We dragged Northstar jigs for most of the day, and ended with around 8 3-4 pound fish. Feels good to figure 'em out like that!
  2. I've heard nothing good about them.
  3. I would go with the 734, either the Powell or the Savvy.
  4. Wow she ATE that lil gill didn't she! Nice fish.
  5. To make this short: pitch a jig to every part of the tree/bush.
  6. Suddenly 5 pounders are 3.5. Pretty funny. It's pretty humbling.
  7. I didn't especially like it. For jigs and frogs, I wouldn't ever do it again.
  8. If you're fishing around rocks, that is what is fraying your line.
  9. If the frog use is very sparce, go with the 704c. Oh, and I would get the Dobyns Savvy Series, 704c. I think you would like it more, and it is better balanced.
  10. 12', creek channel, dead of winter on a sunny day, correct? I remember you telling the story.
  11. You surely will love it! Good choice my friend.

Hahaha, that's really not funny. ^
  13. 8.15 Black and blue jig, overcast and rainy, post-spawn.
  14. I need to get some heavier hooks, the ones they provide are too light.
  15. First three lines in this quote are SO true. I applaud you Akwards.
  16. Especially when you get a big one.

When I get a miss I keep walking/working it like nothing happened. 9/10 times they eat it again.

I can only hope you will take this advice: Keel-weighted Rage Tail plastics.
  19. Good lord Dwight!
  20. Not sure, but one thing I have noticed is that fish in the spring are more likely to just rOll on frogs than in the summer where they actually try to eat it.

  22. I like the Craw and Smokin' Rooster on the back of swim jigs. I will warn you however that the Rooster is really a BIG fish bait when swimming on a jig. Other than that, every bait is special. I couldn't have just one Rage product, they are all outstanding.
