  1. Nice FL fishing !
  2. Goose that BPS Pro-Qualifier is a fine reel, I own one, its smooth as silk and I really like the dual brakes, makes it almost impossible to backlash. Mine is on a BPS MF Pro-Qualifer rod for guests to use.
  3. I just sold a CR722 GLX MedFast and it was also a nice rod for a lightweight setup.
  4. Not to go OT, but based on the raving reviews of that rod by yourself, Steezy, and others, I have one of those arriving FedEx today 8-) BUT, it's a medium, not an ML... Goose52, you are going to fall in love with that MBR842C and don't let the Med rating fool you, it is very flexible but has plenty of backbone when needed. I hope you were able to get the GLX model.
  5. Now thats a pack of gear you have there Micro !
  6. RW, I would have laid down on the deck and cried like a baby.
  7. The suspense was killing me........ :-X I hope you enjoy your fishing rods and catch a lot of fish!
  8. Steezy, I was looking at the 7' MH. What have you tossed with your 7'M and what reel is paired with it? The Cumaras have really peaked my interest (originally thinking Compre and Crucial). I am thinking of getting the Curado E5 to pair with my crankbait rod. I am also getting some gift cards that will help my price sensitivity. Also, I have made the mistake before of not spending a little extra cash and get the right rod. I eventually end up spending it over the long run. Thanks to everyone for the great rod advice. I mainly use my 7' M Cumara for shallow cranks (4' or less), Rat-L-Traps and buzzbaits. I paired the rod with a Shimano Core 50 MG and it makes a nice combo. For deep cranks I considered the 7' MH Cumara but picked the Steez 7' M FleXlite instead because it's more like a MH and can also handle deeper crankbaits. I use a Steez 6:1 ratio reel on that combo since Im using deeper lures. The 7' cumara MH may fit your requirements better, I don't own that one and never fished it but basically the same as the one I own just more firm.
  9. OK, I will re-phrase my original post (how all that money and pond stuff got brought in I will never know). I have not used any of the crankbait rods in the $100-$150 price range, however, if you are interested in possibly raising your budget $50, the Shimano Cumara Reaction crankbait rod is a very nice rod.
  10. When people say $100-$150 they will usually go a little higher for a good rod. There are probably 25 choices for the $100-$150 price range, whereas if you go a little higher the number of choices is less than half. I was just offering a suggestion for a rod that I own and use since I knew it is a good rod vs something I had just read or heard about. No offense but instead of knocking the price issue, why not suggest a rod if you know of a good one in the original price range posted.
  11. The shimano cumara reaction rods are really nice crankbait rods for shallow cranks. I have a 7'M and like it a lot. 6'9" is $199 7' is $219 http://www.***.com/descpageRDCSHIMANO-SCMRC.html
  12. Easy, just get a Steez, you will enjoy it more and it will never cost you anymore than the original purchase price. 8-)
  13. If the, "Mad Max machine-gunned, crazy special tuned package", makes it that much sweeter than it already is, then I never want to do that to my steez reels cause I would never put them down. The reel is near perfection just stock from the factory. I assumed you already slept with them next to you each night, as it were. : Even more priceless than my wife but don't tell her.
  14. Wow a BEAST, gotta love that night fishing!
  15. If the, "Mad Max machine-gunned, crazy special tuned package", makes it that much sweeter than it already is, then I never want to do that to my steez reels cause I would never put them down. The reel is near perfection just stock from the factory.
  16. OK, all my Steez reels are forsale, $625 firm and free overnight shipping anywhere in the US.
  17. There are a lot of good rods for much less than the GLX or IMX rods but I dare say none of them will feel as good as a GLX or IMX. If they did, Loomis wouldn't be able to sell so may GLX and IMX rods at the higher price.
  18. Very nice fish, make me want to call the travel agent.
  19. It was 39 degrees this morning but still managed to catch 5 in about an hour. Shallow cranks 4-6 feet deep and hard into the bottom. This 3# was the best of the morning.
  20. Looks like Bassn Blvd is another one of those die hard Loomis fans : Nice inventory and nice tracker boat. Looks like you take really good care of your gear. The GLX MBR842 could make anyone a loomis fan, I got one and it constantly pulls me away from my steez's.
  21. Its plain and simple, Dallas doesn't win in Dec and won't start this year. Tony Romo is more interested in trips to Mex and Vegas than concentrating on winning a championship. Philliy will wipe their butts again in the last game this year just like last year and probably win the Division. BTW, I am not a cowboys fan, GO PATRIOTS!
  22. It would be nice if colt could win a championship but TX is no match for Nick "Satans" bama boys. Go bama, Roll Tide
  23. The glocks are nice weapons but it's .45 Sig for me. P245, it's ok to only have 7 rounds (chamber 1 & mag 6), when they produce big holes in the target you don't need as many.
  24. Cream of the Crop ! Daiwa Steez 100SHA 7:1 reel G.Loomis MBR842 7' MedFast rod P-Line CX Prem 12# Moss Green line If you're surprised I didn't pick a Steez rod, then go fish a MBR842 against any Steez rod and you will understand. But this is ONLY if I have to pick 1 setup, otherwise I will definitely have several Steez combos with me.
