  1. 15 oz ? Wow I bet that's heavy to hold all day.
  2. Nice healthy looking fish.
  3. In the US, if you are making the purchase they are required to honor the price. If you are just asking about the item or price they can change it. However any seller can refuse to sell you anything.
  4. Whats the line cap of the pixy compared to the steez ? I dont think the pixy will hold as much line or as heavy a weight of line as the steez. 100HA - 14/120,16/100 103HA - 12/120,14/100 100SHA - 14/120,16/100 103SHA - 12/120,14/100
  5. OK, I'll bite. fathom, what identfier should I look for on the spool? According to daiwa customer support, all steez reels use the Magforce®-V braking system. I will be calling them back on Monday.
  6. I am nearly speachless! Stop it, I cant take it anymore! You ARE the man Paul. Please share with me your fish management techniques you are using at the honey hole!
  7. I also own several Shimano Core 50 MG reels and there is a difference other than price. In my opinion, the Steez is smoother operating and has a more solid precision feel than the Core 50. The core is still and great reel and a great vaule for the price. I recommend a Core 50 on a Loomis GLX rod and A Steez on a Steez rod. BTW, the Core 100 weighs 6.1 oz, Core 50 5.5 oz. None of the Steez reels weigh more than 5.7 oz. Specs (model, ratio, linecap, weight): 100HA 6.3 14/120,16/100 5.6oz 103HA 6.3 12/120,14/100 5.5oz 100SHA 7.1 14/120,16/100 5.7oz 103SHA 7.1 12/120,14/100 5.6oz
  8. I own the Steez 103SHA, 100SHA and the 100HA. They ALL use the same brake system , Magforce®-V. The HLA is the left hand version of the 100HA & 103HA. Theres NO left hand version of the SHA. Specs (model, ratio, linecap): 100HA 6.3 14/120,16/100 103HA 6.3 12/120,14/100 100SHA 7.1 14/120,16/100 103SHA 7.1 12/120,14/100 If you are planning on a GLX rod, for close to the same $$$ you could put that steez reel on a steez rod. It makes for a sweet combo.
  9. Thats a great fish Paul, I feel pathetic only catching a 3# this morning. You are an awesome angler. I would love to fish with you sometime.
  10. It was 38 degrees this morning at 7am in Dallas,TX and still managed to catch several 2 # LMB as well as a 3# baby. Caught all of them 7-7:30am on a silver/blue rat-L-trap. in 3-5 feet of water except for the big one and he was in 8" of water. I though I made a bad cast into the shallows but he hit it as soon as the lure hit the water. Who said Bass don't bite in the winter !
  11. x2 (and a steez rod)
  12. Great Fish and Great Job catching her!
  13. Nice Cat ! Do you ever catch anything small ?
  14. I wanna fish with Paul aka. Hawg Catcher !
  15. I checked all the Academy Sports near me this week and none had that deal. I told a clerk about it and he said it had to be a mistake.
  16. X6555215966525318 Spoken like a 2-6 Skins fan. ;D They (cowboys) actually suck 10^1000 times. Romo has never and probably won't ever win a playoff game that is if he ever even gets to play another playoff game. Spoken like a true patriots fan of the only team to ever win 18 games in a single season. Stuff it giants fans, I know you beat us but that was a fluke, look at the giants now!
  17. Darn thats a NICE fish. You are killing me catching those hawgs in a pond. Dont know about anyone else but I just ordered some "matt minnows".
  18. sweet fish, there are fish like that in my favorite pond but havent landed on yet. what part of TX are you located?
  19. That pretty much beats all deals !
  20. Would you like $80 for it plus shipping cost to me?
  21. Maybe with the less expensive rods the added weight might bring something to the experience but with the high end rods the weight of the rod is a non issue. Pick up a shimano cumara, loomis glx or steez and hook a fish and you will see the weight of the rod (or lack of weight) doesn't lessen the experience. This post is not knocking any rods!
