  1. Rod covers are PRICELESS, don't leave home without'em.
  2. Diawa Pluton, I know its a lot heavier than a Steez but it is solid, can handle any fish and will probably last forever.
  3. The cumara is a sweet rod, esp. if you put a core50 reel on it.
  4. Thats just wrong and a freak of nature but I sure wish I could catch it !
  5. Load Braid on that spinning reel and you will have 0 line twists.
  6. Wow that water has risen since last week.
  7. OK, this is the goto bait. Rage Craw on a Keel Weighted Swimbait Hook The fish can't keep from eating it. Be sure to drag it, don't hop it.
  8. Please try not to leave any part of the hook in a fish, it will not disolve quickly. There are very good tips on the BassResource website that explain how to remove a hook from a gut hooked fish. It's worth learning the technique and being proficient at it. I can clear a gut hooked fish in under 1 minute and that ability has saved many fish.
  9. I pond fish everyday. Almost any soft plastic t-riged or on a jighead. Rattle traps Hudd swimbait, small grass minnow.
  10. Big-O is the man ! I owe all my catch on kentucky lake to the advice and tips i got from Big-O !
  11. Nothing could be as bad as Pickwick last year, it rain so much I had as much water flowing inside my rain suit as I did outside. There was so much water in the boat the pump could barely keep up, fish could swim in the boat.
  12. I'm booked at the hotel for 17th-22nd but now Im arriving on the 16th so I need a place to crash for 1 night. Any help would be appreciated ! -Steezy
  13. I packed yesterday, can we go today ???
  14. I just could not handle the long drive from TX this year so I am riding along with another member from TX to KY and flying home on the weekdnd after the roadtrip. Would anyone from Tennessee or Alabama be returning home to the Nashville area on the 22nd or even better if anyone is returning home to Alabama (south on I65), I have an uncle in Huntsville,AL I would like to vist before returning home to TX. PM if intertested.
  15. Spiral wrapped guides are the bomb ! I have a custom that spiral wrapped and everyone is correct, it provides better control and helps the line move through the guides better. You can't understand how sweet it is till you fish with one. I recommend micro guides, the small guides are more efficient and also look awesome on the rod. The micro guides also make it easier to move them in and out of a rod locker. I will have mine with me at the roadtrip outing if anyone is interested in tryng it.
  16. I have all four models and prefer the 100SHA most of the time. 103 HA Lightweight tackle short casts 100 HA Swimbaits & Deep Cranks 103 SHA Jig/Frog 100 SHA Everything Else
  17. Youre gonna love that rod, I love mine that Matt built last year. Now you are SPOILED !
  18. I have a round diawa pluton that I use for large swimbaits. Its an awesome reel that casts like a dream.
  19. Most people on this forum are fishing for freshwater bass, hence the forum name bassresource so the issue with saltwater is nil and the reason more fish are caught on powerpro is because compared to other braids, its cheap, so its want the masses buy.
  20. Diawa Samurai over Powerpro, unless you want to listen to a hacksaw all day.
