  1. I’m looking for suggestions for a spinning rod to throw small frogs like a pad crasher jr. that’s Maybe 2.5” and 1/4# I’ll be throwing them from the bank over algae and floating moss, probably no lily pads
  2. I use Silver Thread AN40 on all my spinning reels. I use braid to mono on baitcasters for poppers and sometimes frogs if no slop
  3. I always use a round ball jig head with Keitech swimbaits. I fish a lot of ponds and if you go light it skips over grass and weeds. From the Keitech website “Jig Head 1Rig - The Fat Swing Impact fished on our Tungsten Super Round Jig head is our top money winning rig. We recommend the 1/0 Tungsten Super Round for the 2.8”, the 2/0 for the 3.8” and the 3/0 for the 4.8”. Adjust your depth with weight choices of 1/16 to 1/4oz.” “Jig Head Rig - The Original Swing Impact, teamed with the our Tungsten Super Round jig head and fished on the straight retrieve is our Pro-staff’s go to bait. Fish it on the straight retrieve or drag it slowly on the bottom. The 2” should be rigged with the #4 Tungsten Super Round, the 3” with the #1, the 3.5" with the #1/0 ,the 4” with the 2/0 and the 4.5" with the 3/0.”
  4. Ebay when they have a 20% coupon; TW sales; manufacturers’ sites like Siebert, Elken, or Northstar Jigs, Lurenet; and the local Academy which unfortunately has a very depleted stock; and the Asian sites for finesse stuff ...basically depends on needs, price and availability. I stay away from the biggies like BPS
  5. 1/16 Ned head with a ZMan California Craw or Green Pumpkin Finesse TRD Drag it slow with an occasional jerk.
  6. The new one is much lighter and I just wanted to point out the sale is on the old one. I have the new one and love it. Never used the old one.
  7. Be aware, It’s the old model Fuego not the new LT
  8. Thanks for the info...Daiwa LT 2500 $128 free shipping no tax
  9. This ^^ I use the Sierra 703sf with a Shimano Sahara 2500 spooled with copoly Silver Thread AN40 6# and can throw a 1/16 Keitech Tungsten Jig Head and a 3.5” Swing Impact a long way. Never had a problem.
  10. 95% and usually exclusive to when they have sales. Sometimes my local Academy has some Sales I take advantage of but the big box stores are just too expensive compared to the many online stores. Many of the fishing companies, especially like Keitech, Jig Companies, Rapala etc. have their own online stores too and you can find items, colors, sizes, etc. you can’t find either in a store or at TW.
  11. This ^^^ I just bought 2 Tatula LT spinning reels and a Tatula Elite spinning rod with no problems. I’ve bought about 10 reels over the years with no problems. I’ve never bought used, these are all new products.
  12. Ned Rig, Wacky Rig, Keitech 3.5” Swing Impact on a 1/16 #1 Keitech Super Round Tungsten Jig Head
  13. I have an original Tatula Twing 100HS with a Daiwa Tatula Custom Honeycomb spool from Kyang Fishing on EBay
  14. Just bought a Rapala Rip Stop which is a light jerkbait. Any recommendations on a rod? Thinking about a M-Mod spinning rod.
  15. I’ve done the trade in on both reels and rods. I’ve traded in some old Academy Mettle’s I had bought on sale for $39.95 and got the $20 off another reel. I did see spincast reels in the bin but like the earlier poster said, they should be in working condition. They don’t base the discount off of the type of reel but rather the amount you spend on the new one. The amounts are in the flyer.
  16. I really like Major Craft Don Iovino Signature Series Casting Rod 6’10” Extra Fast for my Finesse plastic and light weight BFS fishing It’s not too expensive
  17. I use Silver Thread AN40 6# On my one of my spinning reels Works great with no tangles. It casts like a bullet
  18. I use this one from Academy. They also have one for 24 rods https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/rush-creek-16-rod-round-rack#repChildCatid=3189556
