  1. Which line do you use for hollow body frogs, Mono or Braid? If you use braid do you use a leader for frogs? I'll be fishing matted grass and over the top of weeds just under the water.
  2. 3" Berkley Powerbait Chigger Craw
  3. If you fish a popper, what line do you use? Should I use braid or mono and what lb. test? It's open water.
  4. Other than some Watermelon color then Smoke Pearl Blue
  5. At the end of fishing I cast and start reeling in through a cloth to get the line dry. I spray after about every 8 turns turns, reel the rest and spray again. That way it soaks good and deep. Overnight it sinks into the line. When spooling I'll spray the line right out of the package and let it sit for an hour. Then spray a micro fiber cloth and reel,it on the spool through that. It is especially good on spinning reels to prevent line twist.
  6. I use 3-4' fluoro leader with braid and have not had good luck with all Fluro on a spinning reel. If I want something other than braid I use all Silver Thread AN40 copolymer.
  7. Hags Tornado the tail stands almost straight up plus it has some bulk and great colors
  8. I guess that is why there are so many brands on the market, each person has their own opinion. Glad I made your day.
  9. I was a Shimano guy until I tried Pflueger..try the Pflueger Supreme
  10. Was hooked on Shimano Sahara until I tried a Pflueger Supreme. I now use a Pflueger Supreme 30X. Keep an eye out at Cabelas. They put them on sale every once and awhile.
  11. I have a blue black jig tied on all the time but it doesn't work all the time. If it doesn't work, there's many other things to throw. That's how we keep Tackle Warehouse in business.
  12. Haven't used the Plano but I do have one similar sold by Academy and love it for bank fishing http://bit.ly/1Rx7e6M
  13. I've had luck with Baby Bass, Smoke Blue Pearl, and everyone's favorite, Watermelon Black Red Flake
  14. Assuming not many weeds or trees in a pond, I would have a Med Fast spinning rod, 2500 size reel with 6# AN40 copolymer Baitcaster rod MH fast, Reel something around 7.1:1 with 10# Seagur Invizix fluoro
  15. PQ is a great reel on sale. Lube them every year and they will perform very well YOY. At the regular price, I would look at a Lews. For me, I have a couple of Pro Qualifiers and then tried a Lews. Lews are a lot lighter and somewhat smoother for me. You can find good Lews bargains on the web.
  16. Silver Thread, either Excalibur or AN40 I use the AN40 6# on spinning reels with no line twist, casts a mile, very tough
  17. I don't use fluorocarbon on spinning reels. Too many line twists. I use either braid or Silver Thread AN40 copolymer which is super thin and strong. Never had line twists with either.
  18. Another vote for Silver Thead. I use 6# AN40 on my spinning reels and The X caliber on one bait caster. I never have line twist on the spinning reels and it casts like a rocket. Here's some info Silver Thread AN40 was developed with the stealth approach in mind. Designed with an incredibly small diameter, this line can really cover the distance. The AN40 formula is very limp and supple, making it a favorite among fishermen. If you require long casts and low underwater visibility to get close to the fish, look no further than AN40. Available in original silver and low-visibility green. Yards LB Test Average Diameter 300 4 .0070 in 300 6 .0086 in 300 8 .0100 in 300 10 .0112 in 275 12 .0128 in 275 14 .0136 in
  19. The video helped me quite a bit when I started.
  20. Make sure the centrifugal brakes are set up opposite each other. For instance if you want 3 of 6 on then have 1,3,5 on. If you have 1,2,3 on the spool will be unbalanced. I have 2 PQs and they are very smooth reels.
  21. I know conditions and maybe a "feeling" will have a lot to do with this question, but, How often will you change colors on a plastic bait while fishing if you are not getting any bites? For instance, if you are fishing wacky Senkos and not getting any bites will you change to another color? Or will you change to another type bait?
