  1. Don't change...chigger craw is great...1/4 oz. short hook use a 3"... 3/8 or heavier use the 4" Green pumpkin or black blue fleck, depending on the color of your jig is all you need..
  2. Green Pumpkin or black blue fleck 3" chigger craws are my go to jig trailers. I don't swim jigs but they get bit on flipping jigs.
  3. 5" Hags Tornado....stands at right up because it floats
  4. I use lots of plastics but in the essence of space and time here are my top 5 in no particular order Megastrike Pro Shaky Head with a 5" bluegill Hags Tornado Wacky Rig with an Owner 1/0 Wacky hook, 5" Yamamoto Senko watermelon black red flake with an O ring TX Rig with a Tungsten weight, 2/0 Ewg hook and a baby brush hog in watermelon orange Black blue jig with a black blue rage craw or baby rage craw depending on the size of the jig Keitech Swing Impact FAT 3.8" Baby Bass on an Owner Ultrahead Bullet Rig or light TX rig
  5. There is a YouTube post on this topic
  6. TW seems to be having a lot of rod & reel brand exclusions from their sales recently.
  7. Great reel. I have the basic model and use it for wacky 5" Senkos with 20# braid. Casts them really well. Not sur the TWing increases casting distance but for the price, they are really nice.
  8. I know you said you had a BPS card but consider the Academy H2O worm binder especially if you are a bank fisher. It's $19.99 Here's the web site and description. Also take your thick plastics like Rage lobsters and put them in plastic storage bags. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o-xpress-magnum-worm-binder The H2O XPRESS® Magnum Worm Binder features water-resistant 840D polyester construction for durability and 2 exterior and 4 interior storage pockets to provide plenty of storage. 9. Throwing one more opinion, I have serious problems with straight fluoro on spinning gear. But I do use 15# braid with a 8# fluoro leader and on I rig I use 6# AN40 copolymer which I love. Braid is for drop shot and finesse and the copolymer I use for rooster tails and weightless baby flukes or small jerkbaits.
  10. Lews Tournament Lite can be had for $140 at American Legacy Fishing. If you can spend a little more the same site has the Lew's Team Lew's Pro Speed Spool On sale at $200 marked down from $300.
  11. I use the ORings from TW. Without them I get about 3-4 fish before the worm is done. With them I get 10-12 fish before it splits. Also I find a 1/0 Owner wacky hook helps with the plastic durability better than other hooks I've tried. Don't know why but that's all I use now for wacky Senkos.
  12. Look at their sale stuff and see if there is anything you want to add to your shopping cart
  13. I use silver thread 6# on my spinning set up with a 1/0 owner wacky hook for wacky senkos and it has worked great for a long time.
  14. Try to wait for the new Shimano Sedona FE. It looks really good with some nice new features. TW says it will be available 7/30.
  15. I use the Ol' Monster and the Berkley 10" Power Worm. For some reason I seem to have more luck with the Berkley but this is not to say the Monster doesn't catch fish.
  16. I know this is off topic but If you haven't tried Silver Thread AN40 or Excalibur copolymers, especially on spinning reels, I would buy a spool and give it a try. They cast a mile, very thin and sensitive yet much more abrasion resistant than anything except braid. I love the AN40 for my senko fishing. I can feel the tick and get a good hook set. Unlike when I used fluorocarbon on my spinning set up, I never have had any line twist problems with these.
  17. Bought some finesse jigs from Siebert and they look like killers.
  18. Their Mettle reels are great. I would buy them for 29.99 a couple of years ago when they were on sale and they cast a mile. Really smooth, not as good as some $100 reels but what the heck, on a budget they work great.
  19. I use Academy's H2O Express soft tackle bag. $39.99. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o-xpress-deluxe-soft-tackle-bag/pid-312351?color=Blue&N=272574546+4294713062 The H2O XPRESS® Deluxe Soft Tackle Bag is made of 840-denier ballistic polyester material with a water-resistant coating for durability and a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap for comfortable carrying. 20. Hags Tornado usually 4" but once in a while a 5" does the trick. It stands straight up and the slightest movement of water or your rod flicks the tail. I'll use this on drop shots too since it will float horizontally.
  21. I never did before this year. I asked the same question here in March or so and got some really convincing answers. So, I tried 20# braid with a 8# Fluoro leader tied to a VMC spinshot drop shot hook and then more 8# Fluoro to a 1/8 Or 3/16 Voss drop shot weight. I use spinning gear. For me baits are 4" hags tornado or a 4.5" roboworm. It does work. But, I am a more frequent user of TX rigs, jigs, and wacky rigged worms in the ponds I fish.
  22. I have a St Croix Premier 7' fast that I use for 4" weightless Senkos, soft Swimbaits like Keitech or Zoom, small 1/8 oz jigs and light TX Rigs. I paired it with a Shimano Sahara, 6# AN40 copolymer and it casts a mile.
  23. Got my order in with Mike's help. Very happy and great service.
  24. Just got a response to my PM from Mike. Looks like a mix up on the ordering process but he took care of me. Great service and everyone's correct a really nice guy.
  25. I sent Siebert Jigs a PM from this forum last night. Based on all the good comments I will probably hear something today.
